PriceChopper

Office Depot

  • Testing a couple of different solutions around IP cameras. We are expanding some testing around video analytics with a solution provider.
  • Looking at different types of cameras like 360s and trying to refine some programs as we replace the systems in our stores.
  • Evaluating a couple different hardware before we decide how to move forward.

Dan

  • It’s an interesting time in the video surveillance industry as our cameras are primarily focus on loss prevention.
  • But videos are being used much more than that.
  • LPRC as an avenue for us to work with the retailers to make sure that we are bringing the right solutions, and tailor them to the retailers’ needs.
  • Would like to working with retailers and allow them to better understand the solutions and find the solutions that would work.

  • What do we do with the cameras other than just get the loss prevention view? What else can we do? Maybe in the marketing aspects.

  • Market to our membership about the education webinars that we are going to do.
  • My drive to participate is to better understand what technologies were emerging when it came to CCTV, analytics, and video solutions. And to learn about integration, how could I leverage those technologies against the camera capabilities and make it business different.

Hyunjoo

  • Retailers are interested to know what are the metrics that can be captured through the video solutions, how the companies can utilize that information.
  • Webinars that link video analytics and loss prevention/shopper behavior metrics.
