JOB TITLE: Vice President, Senior Wealth Advisor, San Diego, Irvine and San Francisco

BUSINESS UNIT and DIVISION: The Private Bank, Global and Wealth Markets

Job Summary:

Reports directly to the Wealth Market Executive and dotted line reports to the SVP Sales Director, the Senior Wealth Advisor (SWA), is a direct sales professional responsible for targeting externalindividuals, families and foundations/endowments with a minimum of $2MM investable assets into Private Bank clients.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying, and attracting new clients through an established network of current professional referral sources, including attorneys, accountants and CPAs. Assist prospects in defining objectives and risk tolerances for the best suite of investment and trust related solutions. Responsible for closing recurring and nonrecurring NEW revenue and NEW clients for asset management and trust related products and services. Responsible for continuously building external professional and community relationships to maintain a full and flowing pipeline of external suspects and prospective clients.

Promote the Private Bank and HighMark Capital Advisors’ investment and trust services through speaking engagements serving as an industry expert at forums, conferences and seminars.

Attend to the details of opening new relationships, including document signing, introducing service team and confirming client’s expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven sales success developing new wealth related business through personal referral network
  • Superior consultative selling skills
  • Superior knowledge of investment program solutions, including alternative investments, single stock exposure management, fixed income management, equity management, tax-efficient index management, international management, cash management, brokerage services and mutual funds.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to articulate investment consulting services, including investment program design, asset allocation, performance measurement and tax efficiencies.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and fiduciary services including, comprehensive trust services, estate settlement, private & public foundation management, charitable planning, donor advised funds and specialty assets including limited partnerships, mineral, oil and gas royalties and real estate assets
  • Strong ability to probe, listen, problem solve and execute effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent client relationship skills

Education, Licensure, Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years direct sales experience in wealth related industry
  • Series 7, 66 licensing is required
  • Life/Health insurance licensing preferred
  • CFP, CTFA or CFA designation desirable, but not required
