Hospital and Quarantine / Assist in all aspects of the daily routine in the veterinary hospital which may include processing laboratory samples, handling tissues, participating in animal immobilizations, necropsies, learning and applying proper disinfection and sterilization techniques. Duties also include cleaning of cages, yards and holding areas; preparing and distributing diets, data entry, monitoring health and welfare of assigned animals, animal handling and restraint, animal record keeping, research and observation and other related tasks.
Animal Nutrition / Involved in all aspects of the daily routine in the Animal Nutrition Center, which may include diet preparation, food item stocking and inventory, food safety and sanitation, diet record keeping, diet analysis, nutritional monitoring and evaluation of animals, diet formulation, body condition scoring, food item sampling, food enrichment, necropsies, data entry, and nutrition-related research and observation.

Which term? All internships are full time and for the duration of one semester.
