WHO MAY APPLY: ENLISTED (SFC/E-7 to MSG/E-8). For Merit Announcements, eligibility is limited to personnel currently in the Minnesota Army National Guard who are serving Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) tours. Current AGRs must have a minimum of 18 months in the program to be eligible for reassignment. IAW NGR 600-25 AND AFI 36-101, grade inversion within the full-time workforce is not permitted. Military grade of the supervisor must equal/exceed grade of personnel supervised.

REMARKS: PCS Available. Upon selection, individual must be or become MOS/AOC qualified within twelve (12) months of appointment, with the exception of deployed Soldiers who will have an additional 12 months.

LENGTH OF TOUR: 3 YEARS – Subject to program continuance; members successfully completing initial tour will be afforded priority for tour extension, after completing initial tour.

AGR PROGRAM BENEFITS: Salary is determined by military grade and time in service. Member is authorized Subsistence allowance, Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), Thirty (30) days annual leave; medical and dental care. TRICARE Standard coverage for dependents. Military Exchange and Commissary privileges.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As the subject matter expert for logistics, develops, implements and evaluates the logistic goals and priorities for the organization. Advises the command in the area of logistics operations. Oversees and reviews feeder reports. Analyzes and/or prepares the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations relative to proposed Modified Table of Organization and Equipment / Table of Distribution and Allowances (MTOE/TDA) and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on equipment authorizations. Remains current on and ensures the implementation of policy statements, regulations and directives. Provides guidance and assistance to ensure command programs have been implemented and evaluates their effectiveness in subordinate elements. Develops and implements tactical standard operating procedures for logistics. Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. Assists in the preparation for and executes additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance. Works in conjunction with the Division Property Book Officer (PBO) to advise the Chief of Sustainment of equipment on hand and equipment readiness issues. Develops the maintenance priorities of support to equipment. Coordinates and ensures the completion of change of command inventories and applicable adjustment documents. Assists in the review of and makes recommendations on investigations of incidents involving property loss or damage. Assists with Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL), Cash Collections, and Statements of Charges for property loss or damage for the organization. Provides guidance and management for all decentralized logistic funds. These may include secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, and various classes of supply. May serve as the approving official for government purchase card expenditures. Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. May provide supervision to full time personnel in the G-4 section in the absence of the logistics officer. Directs the work of lower graded employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
