SPEC SHEET

2007 LIBERTY XL2, SN/ 074, N590XL

VERY LOW (~360) TT, Dry Country, clean and well maintained

Upgrades: Entry Steps, Wheel Pants, Most Service Bulletins and a partial increased GWMod.

Avionics:Garmin GMA340, GNS 430, GI 106A, SL40 and GTX327

Damage History: While disassembled for annual inspection in 2014, the RH wing was damaged beyond economical repair, and the aircraft was totaled by the insurance company. (Yes, the wings and stabilatorsmust be removed and reinstalled for each annual inspection, but it’s pretty easy to do.) Later, the upper cowl and trailing edge of the prop were damaged while in storage at the salvage yard.

I purchased this aircraft and then another low time XL2 (S/N 054,N569XL, with~740TT with hard landing damage, for use of itsundamaged Wings and Upper Cowl. These were installed on 074 with appropriate care and documentation.

The prop (from 074)went to MT USA for IRAN and 8130-3.

The aircraft has been given a thorough annual inspection, including new nosewheel tire & tube, batteries, and spark plugs.

The post wing replacement / post annual test flight as well as subsequent flights have been normal and squawk free.

Flying Characteristics: Pleasant. Its higher wing loading seems to do a better job of dampening light turbulence. Yaw and pitch stability seem good. The finger actuated brakes are unique but intuitive enough to use. Takeoff distance seems slightly longer than that of some other aircraft, but it is quite acceptable. Because of its lower drag airframe and huge fowler flaps, the aircraft requires a little extra speed and profile management on approach and landing. I’m not yet convinced it’s ideal for the low time student without some extra instruction in this area.

Extras:The complete, as removed, FADEC system from N569XL is included with the sale

Other Spares:Lots of airframe parts, mostly from N569XL, s/n 054, (including undamaged LH Wing from 074, Flight Controls, windshield, doors, exhaust system, some instruments, and lots of small stuff. is available. The price of these extras is negotiable. Note: this lot of components does not include the core engine or avionics from 054.

Trades: A low TT Cessna 172, Archer II, Diamond DA20, or maybe another interesting aircraft with a clean airframe will be considered in trade. Please, nothing with significant corrosion, major damage history, or hail damage. A runout engine, old or minimal avionics, or faded paint will be considered.
