VCCJA Annual 2014 Award Categories and Criteria
Award Criteria:
At the annual November VCCJA Conference, VCCJA recognizes the extraordinary contributions of individuals in the criminal justice field.Awards are bestowed upon VCCJA members, agencies, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated a high degree of leadership and professionalism, embraced the mission of VCCJA both in their own agency and statewide, embodied exceptional dedication, and consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to positively and significantly contribute to improvements in the criminal justice field. Specific awards categories are listed below.
Award Categories:
Meritorious Service Award for Local Probation (2 awards)
Eligibility: Any member of the VCCJA in good standing or organization whose primary work is focused on services related to local probation.
Meritorious Service Award for Pretrial Services (2 awards)
Eligibility: Any member of the VCCJA in good standing or organization whose primary work is focused on services related to pretrial services.
Outstanding Service Award for VCCJA Leadership
Eligibility: Agency Directors and Supervisors providing demonstrated leadership in VCCJA. Must be a VCCJA member in good standing.
VCCJA Award for Collaboration and Innovation
Eligibility: Demonstrated partnership, collaboration, or innovation in program development and implementation that has served to advance an objective or initiative in community corrections or pretrial services in Virginia. This award is open to VCCJA members and other non-agency individuals or organizations who are not members of VCCJA and is not necessarily awarded every year.
