History
- Formed in 2002 as RoofShield USA LLC,
- Changed to VaproShield LLC in 2006
- 2005 formed corporate headquarters in Gig Harbor, WA
- First product sold was RoofShield
- 2002 added WallShield®– water resistive vapor permeable membrane, highest drying capacity in the industry (212 perms) for walls.
- 2006 added WrapShield®water resistive vapor permeable air barrier membrane for walls.
- 2008 added SlopeShield® - water resistive vapor permeable roofing underlayment.
- 2008 added WrapShield HS® - breathable, water resistant membrane for walls. WrapShield is bonded to Home Slicker®, a rolled product that creates the necessary airspace in a rain screen wall system.
- 2009 added WrapShield SA®Self-Adhered – water resistive vapor permeable air barrier sheet membrane for walls, zero VOC’s, no primer required to adhere.
- 2010 added SlopeShield SA® Self-Adhered Water-Resistive Vapor Permeable Roof Underlayment,non-asphalt sheet membrane for sloped roof decks, zero VOC’s, no primer required to adhere.
- 2012 – added integrated horizontal tape to WrapShield water resistive vapor permeable air barrier membrane eliminating the need for tape along horizontal seams.
- 2012 added integrated tape to SlopeShield water resistive vapor permeable roofing underlayment eliminating the need for tape along the vertical seams.
- 2012 RevealShield UV stable, black water resistive vapor permeable air barrier membrane with integrated tape at horizontal seams for open joint cladding systems, requires only single layer installation.
