1.  One VFCU Scholarship award will be granted in the amount of $500 to a graduating high school student.

Eligibility: The applicant must be a member of Valley Federal Credit Union, excluding immediate family members of Valley Federal Credit Union employees. This scholarship applies to any accredited college, graduate school, or secondary education facility.

2.  Due Date: Completed application and all required materials must be submitted to your credit union no later than March 16, 2018, 5:00 PM, MST. Scholarships will be awarded April 16, 2018.

Application Materials: The following items must be included with the application. Missing items will cause the application to be removed from consideration.
·  Completed and signed application form (signature line on Page 3).
·  Two letters of recommendation from non-relatives who can attest to your character and to your desire to continue your education.
·  A copy of your most recent school grade transcript.
·  A photo of the scholarship applicant for publicity purposes if the applicant is awarded a scholarship.
·  A brief letter, not to exceed 300 words, addressing the following:
____Your need for a scholarship and how a scholarship would benefit you.
____A statement of your educational goals.
____Include any additional information you would like the scholarship committee to consider.

5. The applicant's signature is required for completion of this form. By signing this form, the applicant authorizes Valley Federal Credit Union to use their name and photo for media publishing.

6. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
