Vadea Engineering started operations on 1 January 2017

The engineering firm for energy and building services planning is a merger between Hälg Group's Brunner Haustechnik AG and Hälg & Co. AG Engineering.

Vadea AG is the new subsidiary of the Hälg Building Services Group for energy and building technology planning. The engineering office results from the merger between Brunner Haustechnik AG and the engineering division of Hälg & Co. AG. Vadea offers all conventional planning services for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling, sanitary facilities and its own specialist disciplines from its two locations in Wallisellen and St. Gallen. Marcel Baumer, Delegate of the Board of Directors, sums up the situation: "The merger between Brunner Haustechnik and Hälg Engineering to form Vadea AG is a logical consequence to boost the Engineering division within the Hälg Group. With its new presence and new identity, Vadea AG is also positioned as a separate service provider independent from its parent company." Vadea AG started operations on 1 January 2017.

Vadea AG is a new start-up which commenced operations on 1 January 2017. The energy and building services planning company results from the merger between Brunner Haustechnik AG in Wallisellen and the Engineering division of Hälg & Co. AG in St. Gallen. The core business of Vadea AG focuses on the planning of conventional energy and building services in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling and sanitary facilities. In addition the engineering firm possesses expertise in the fields of pharmaceuticals, cleanrooms, hospital construction and swimming pool and pool water technology. The company's goals envisage the visionary and independent planning of energy and building services, culminating in their application-based implementation.

Marcel Baumer, Delegate of the Board of Directors, explains the background: "By setting up Vadea AG we are boosting the Engineering division within the Hälg Group. We are concentrating competencies at the two locations. This allows us to offer enhanced engineering services. With its new brand presence and new identity, Vadea AG is also positioned as a separate service provider which is independent from its parent company. Its mission is to provide visionary planning and proximity to the construction site."

Brunner Haustechnik AG was started by Arnold Brunner in 1988. Thanks to planning with foresight, the company has grown to become one of the leading engineering offices for buildings with complex services technology and until recently had a work force of about 25 employees Brunner Haustechnik has built up a great deal of specialist expertise in the fields of cleanrooms, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, higher education buildings and laboratories. In 2010, Brunner Haustechnik was acquired by the Hälg Group as a result of a succession plan. Since the 1980s, Hälg & Co. AG Engineering has become a separate division, naturally arising from customer requirements for the planning of complex building services facilities. Over the past few years, the division has steadily grown and employed around 25 people at the end of 2016. The merger retains all jobs and an expansion of the present specialist team is not ruled out. The complete assets of both Brunner Haustechnik AG and Hälg & Co. AG Engineering are fully transferred to Vadea AG. The registered offices of the new company are in Wallisellen.
