Using Essential Physics online student edition

·  Make sure that you are using a recent version of your browser (EXAMPLE: Firefox 28.0) If your browser requires updating, we recommend you do the update before using Essential Physics.

·  Next, go to http://www.essential-physics.com/TX

·  Enter your school’s student login code.

·  All physics students at your school share the same login code. Email, call a classmate, or check your class web site if you cannot find yours.
You cannot retrieve the access code online.

·  The same access code works for online access and stand-alone use

·  The browser remembers access codes as "cookies" for both online

and stand-alone use. We suggest bookmarking the “front cover”

with a separate bookmark for online and stand-alone use.

·  Access codes have to be re-entered if you clear the cookies in your browser

·  The Take A Quiz feature at the end of every section review works best in the online version.

Watch the brief video “Quick Guide to Navigating the e-Book.” To see this video, press the HELP button--top right of the front page of the e-Book.

·  INSTALLATION_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf located on the DVD has instructions for

copying the Essential Physics e-Book on specific devices such as iPads, Chromebooks, Android tablets, Mac OS X machines, or Windows machines.

·  OR Go to www.ergopedia.com and choose the Support tab for the latest instructions on using the e-Book on different devices and with different browsers.
