GUIDE TO REVISED PRINCIPAL BUS SERVICES FROM 28 AUGUST
2010
(SURREY BUS REVIEW PHASE 1)
SUMMARY OF CHANGES IN ELMBRIDGE, RUNNYMEDE,
SPELTHORNE & PART OF WOKING BOROUGHS
As at 9 August 2010
There are no fundamental changes expected at present to services in these areas that are not listed below except possibly timing adjustments. Detailed timetables for all services are still being fully-finalised but are expected to be available on by 14 August.
Service 28
Guildford-Worplesdon-Pirbright-Brookwood-Knaphill Sainsburys
This hourly Arriva service will be extended during the middle part of the dayfrom Knaphill Sainsburys to Woking via Goldsworth Park, Bullbeggars Lane, Horsell and Brewery Road, restoring some links lost when Arriva shortened the service in 2009. Will also serve Littlewick roundabout at the north end of Horsell. At times when through journeys between Horsell, Guildford and Woking are not operating, there will be some local journeys between Woking and Littlewick roundabout, so that Horsell village receives a roughly hourly service through the day. These changes will allow Countryliner service 97 to be withdrawn.
Service 51
Heathrow Airport Terminal 5-Staines-Chertsey-Eastworth Road-Addlestone Moor-Victory Park-Addlestone (Mondays to Saturdays, hourly until mid-evening, Sundays every 2 hours). Extended beyond Addlestone on Mondays to Saturdays (except evenings) hourly to Weybridge, Hanger Hill, Weybridge Station, Brooklands Road, Manor Farm, Byfleet and Brooklands Tesco/M&S.
New service operated by First replacing various parts of existing service 451 and giving new direct links to Heathrow Terminal 5.
