FLYING FISH

Use: throwing, catching, hand-eye, and racket

skills Materials Needed: plastic grocery bag,

nylon hose, balloon, floor tape

How to Make: Stuff nylon into the bottom

of plastic grocery bag and tape around

the outside of the bag to hold the

nylon in place. Place the end of

the bag into the balloon, puff

the bag just behind the tape

and tape again three

inches away from the

first taping. Trim

two inches behind

second taping to create

a tail.

TUBE SOCK FOX TAIL

Use: throwing, catching, and tracking

Materials Needed: tube sock, old tennis ball

How to Make: Place tennis ball into the toe of

the sock and tie off just above the ball.

RUBBER GLOVE BEAN BAG

Use: in place of bean bag

Material Needed: rubber

glove, hard kernel beans

How to Make: Pour beans

into the glove (make

sure you do not stretch

the rubber). Tie off at

the wrist and store in a

cool dry place.

FLING IT

Use: cooperation, tracking, timing, and touch

Materials Needed: three foot square of old

volleyball netting

How to Make: Cut a

three foot square out

of an old volleyball

net and tape the

four corners to

indicate

handles.

TWIRL AND JUMP

Use: cooperation, timing, agility, and

eye-foot

Materials Needed: two foot length of

3/4 inch PVC, ten foot length of

1/4 rope, and a whiffle ball

How to Make: Slide PVC over rope

and knot at both ends to prevent

rope from sliding through. Tie a

whiffle ball to end of loose rope.

PANTY HOSE KICK

AND CATCH

Use: foot-eye, catching and kicking

Materials Needed: old panty hose and a 6”

inch ball

How to Make: Cut panty hose so you

have two separate legs, place the

ball in the leg of the panty

hose. Tie a knot just

behind the ball.

(opposite toe side).

SPIDER BALL

Use: throwing, catching, and as a floor hockey

puck

Materials Needed: wiffle ball, dyna band

tubing or nylon rope

How to Make: String tubbing or rope through

thewiffle ball leaving four inches extending

from each side of the ball. Knot the rope

close to the ball so it remains in a fixed

position.
