USAIGC/IAIGC APRIL 2015 MEMBERSHIP NEWS BRIEF
Dear USAIGC & IAIGC Club Owners & Coaches,
OurState, Regional, International Celebration (entry form attached) & World Championship(entry form attached) Competitions will be conducted within the next 3 months.
State & Regional Competition Directorswill verify: gymnast’s qualification scores from ourCalendar Pageby clicking onScoresnext to each competition, Club expiration date, 100% Background Verification, and Gymnasts IGC numbers. Our Competition Page has aGPSdirection finder in the drop down box that appears when you cluck on the Competition. You must drag down the box.
State & Regional ChampionshipsCompetition Directors please send me all State/Regional Competition Information to post on our Competition Page:Entry Forms, Competition Address, Entry Fees, Admission Fees, Competition schedule with session times, Competition levels, Age Divisions, and Awards. CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION DIRECTORS:MUST accept EVERY QUALIFIED USAIGC/IAIGC Gymnast into their Championship. No State/Regional Qualifier can be excludedfrom a USAIGC Championship, nor can any Meet Director charge a late fee.Our gymnasts can qualify to a State or Regional Championship up to two weeks prior to the Championship.Irecommend Coaches send in all qualifiers and potential qualifiers. Pay for those qualified and DO NOT pay for those not yet qualified. It is easier to scratch a gymnast than add one.
Our ATHLETE DOWNLOAD Program is Free.ALL Competition Directors have receivedINSTRUCTIONSon how it operates. Allregistered Gymnasts are listed under their Club and can be viewed by logging in from our Club Directory Page. The USAIGC Athlete Download Program was added to our website to make life easier for our Competition Directors. You can download athletes into Pro-Score or into Excel. Our Athlete Download Program is FREE and saves your parents EXTRA FEES to register their gymnasts into Competitions. All USAIGC Entry Fees should go directly to the Championship Competition Director/Club.
I believe we need to establish policies on scratches/refunds.
------High School Graduating Senior Plaquesmust be ordered from A-1 Awards to guarantee consistency.Jami is our USAIGC person:laques must are given at the State OR Regional Championship. For Gymnasts not receiving their Graduating Senior Plaque at the State/Regional Championship will receive the plaque at the World Championship OR International Celebration. All Championship entry forms should have a place on the form to add graduating senior information. It is the Coaches responsibility to get this information to our Championship Meet Directors.
------
QUALIFICATION CHANGE: 2015-2016 USAIGC/IAIGC REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: 33.00AA.The time has come.
------
ALL State Championship Officials must be approved FOR ALL STATE/REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.Officials have ONE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY, to fully understand our USAIGC Competitive Rules and to judge the gymnast based on their performance that day. Inflated Scores hurt competitive programs, hurt the gymnast and create unnecessary problems within our Clubs with parents. We have received emails from two east coast areas of contention.
We have member clubs going to other States/Areas to receive a score based on execution and performance. To reward our good officials our Technical Director must APPROVE each Official for a State or Regional Championships. This is step-one.
The unprofessional attitude of a very, very small number of Officials, OR their inability to understand our rules will be rectified. The information I received came from Coaches, Parents & concerned Officials. For those judges who understand and judge with their knowledge and expertise I thank you for your professionalism. You are a pleasure to have in our competitive program. Your input is important to us.The USAIGC is in partnership with Club Owners, Coaches,Official’s.

USAIGC PRE‐SCHOOL WORKSHOP.August 29, 2015
Preliminary information on our website:
I think we are missing a great opportunity on conducting meaningful and beneficial Pre-School Educational Programs. Club Owners that have one Staff Member registered attend free. I will conduct an initial discussion on Early Childhood Educational Programs for USAIGC Gymnastic Clubs.
With full-time kindergarten, a potential segment of the “morning gymnastic classes” has evaporated. WE must provide educationally sound programs for preschool children! Note: There will be much more coming out about this.

------
2016-2018 Mandatory 100% Employee Background Check(18+ and over, and Club Owners)Verification Forms SIGNED & NOTARIZED due by December 31, 2015. Club Owners can use any background check agency they wish. The USAIGC recommends CIC who have helped many of our Members. Fee: $21.00 per employee. Background checking ONLY one segment of your employee population is not doing your due diligence for minors.
