*Urgent Communication from General Secretary*
New Delhi, the 12th February,2018
Dear Friends! Greetings ! A meeting of the newly elected Office Bearers of AIFUCTO was held on 11th February, 2018 at Shakarpur (Laxmi Nagar), New Delhi (AIFUCTO office). Almost all of the office bearers were present in the meeting, it was very cordial and arrived at an understating as follows :
The meeting proposes to hold a two day NEC meeting on 11 – 12 March, 2018 at Delhi. Full fledged NEC meeting will be conducted on 11.3.2018 and on 12.3.2018, the NEC members will participate in the mass memorandum programme at UGC office.
The office bearers’ meeting fully endorsed the invitation of FEDCUTA-DUTA March on 16th February, 2018 from Mandi House to Parliament Street at New Delhi and decided that most of the office bearers of AIFUCTO to participate and support their programme on that day. Further, the meeting proposes to request the members of affiliates from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarkhand & Uttar Pradesh and MP to participate in the FEDCUTA-DUTA programme in large numbers.
The meeting discussed the New Education Policy,the contents of the Draft UGC Regulations 2018,and that of 7th UGC Pay review Committee(Prof.Chouhan Committee)Recommendations,Budget cut ,Role of NITI Ayog etc and criticised the anti teacher& anti higher education policies and demanded to review the same in the larger interest of the higher education of the country.
Members of AIFUCTO are aware that the draft UGC regulations 2018 have beenout and views and comments of all stake holders are invited.All the affiliates and NEC members are requested to go through the draft UGC regulations and send their opinions/views to General Secretary,AIFUCTO on or before 20th February,2018 without fail.The final views and opinions of AIFUCTO will be finalised after consulting with the secretariat of AIFUCTO.
Friends, I request all the NEC members to make journey plans immediately so that all the NEC members be present on both 11th and 12thMarch,2018 in Delhi.
