A RESOLUTION memorializing Dr. Kent C. Moseley and adjourning the House of Representatives in his honor and memory.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Dr. Kent C. Moseley, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley was a native son of the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley was the son of the late Vilas C. Moseley, M.D. and Sally Ford Moseley; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and received his doctorate from Indiana University; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley dedicated his professional life to the health and comfort of the people of this Commonwealth through his practice of dentistry; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley served his state and his country honorably in World War II, serving in the Army Air Force as a pilot; and

WHEREAS, we, as benefactors of the sacrifices of the members of the armed forces, should be ever mindful of their offering of their lives in defense of this nation; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley was a life member of the American Dental Association and a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley served on the board of trustees of the National Aviation Hall of Fame in Dayton, Ohio, and was a Life Member of the Aviation Museum of Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley was the beloved husband of Betty Hadden Moseley for 60 years; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley was the beloved brother of Wendell F. Moseley, and was the uncle of John Moseley, Eric Moseley, Phillip Moseley, Ford Moseley, George Hoover, and Carrol N. Hoover; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Kent C. Moseley died January 24, 2005;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby extend its most profound sense of sorrow to the family and friends of Dr. Kent C. Moseley on the occasion of his passing and affirms that his work and sacrifices have assured a higher quality of life not only for the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, but also for the benefit of the citizens of this nation.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it shall take account of the manifold accomplishments of Dr. Kent C. Moseley and shall do so in his honor and memory.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit two copies of this Resolution to Mrs. Betty Hadden Moseley, 109 North Hanover Avenue, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
