A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in honor of Representative Adrian Arnold upon the occasion of his retirement from the House of Representatives following more than three decades of dedicated service to the people of the Commonwealth.
WHEREAS, Adrian Arnold began his legislative career in 1974, representing the 75th Legislative District, and has served the citizens of Montgomery, Powell, and Wolfe Counties with an ever-watchful eye for their needs. A graduate of Morehead State University, Representative Arnold is a lifetime farmer, and the interests of those who tend the soil and feed the world have remained foremost in his mind and near to his heart; and
WHEREAS, Representative Arnold has, throughout his tenure, served on many legislative committees and task forces, including serving as chair of the Elections, Constitutional Amendments and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. Through his guidance, Kentucky has been an innovative leader in election and campaign finance reform, and in the struggle against voter fraud. Working with members of both parties, the executive branch, and concerned citizens and interest groups, he has shown true leadership in the quest to ensure fair and democratic elections at every level of government throughout the Commonwealth. In addition to his work in the area of elections, Representative Arnold has also served on the Agriculture and Small Business Committee; the Rules Committee; and the Local Government Committee; and
WHEREAS, Adrian Arnold has enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage to his bride, Delma, and they are the proud parents of three sons, Lanny Keith, Jeffrey King, and Eric Clinton Arnold, who take great pride in this fine public servant's contributions to his fellow Kentuckians. A quiet, unassuming man, Adrian Arnold has earned the respect and friendship of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle, and his reputation for integrity and fairness will remain as a standard by which others will be judged;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives salutes Representative Adrian Arnold as he leaves this honorable body, and extends to him every wish for a long, happy, and healthy retirement.
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in honor of the Gentleman from Montgomery 74, a man who exemplifies the creed, "Public service must be more than doing a job efficiently and honestly. It must be a complete dedication to the people."
