A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was a long time resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, residing in Hart County; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was the loving and beloved son of the late Jesse Forest and Florence Mary Skelton Dudley; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley lived the American dream by owning and managing his own business, Oscarware, in Bonnieville, and in living his dream, showed the true entrepreneurial spirit and zest for hard work possessed by American citizens on which this nation has laid its foundation since its earliest days; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley answered the call of service of this nation serving with the United States Marines, a call which in these grave times, when liberty is threatened with tyranny, the true value of the offer of sacrifice is illuminated; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley's strength of character, leadership, and dedication to the welfare of his fellow citizens have attracted the attention of the office of the Governor, who saw fit to bestow upon him the status and commission of Kentucky Colonel; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was eminently active in the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was a well-known and avid outdoorsman, sharing a trait with the very founders of the Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was the loving and beloved husband of Debra Dudley; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was the loving and beloved father of Jeff Dudley, Kevin Dudley, Tammy Clark, Jill Medina, Kelly Dudley, and Keith Robert Dudley, his infant son who preceded him in death; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was the loving and beloved brother of John Dudley and of the late Ruth Bess, Bob, Earl, and Paul Dudley; and

WHEREAS, Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley departed this Earth on March 17, 2006;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its most heartfelt sympathy and extends its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley on the occasion of his passing.

Section 2. The House of Representatives affirms that Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley was a model Kentuckian whose good works will long resonate in the hearts and minds of all those fortunate enough to have made his acquaintance.

Section 3. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley.

Section 4. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is directed to transmit six copies of this Resolution to Representative Terry Shelton for presentation to the family of Jesse "Reg" Reginald Dudley.
