A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Larry Randall French.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Larry Randall French, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French was born on September 19, 1950, a native son of Hodgenville, LaRue County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on January 20, 2000; and

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French was the loving son of Bradley French, Jr. and Maxine Warren French; he was the devoted husband of Debbie Higdon French of Georgetown, Kentucky; he was the loving father of Chad French of Georgetown, Kentucky, and of Brooke French of Georgetown, Kentucky; and he was the caring and loving brother of Valarie Logue, Louisville, Kentucky, and three brothers, Ronnie French and Brent French, Hodgenville, and Doug French, Midlothian, Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French was a graduate of LaRue County High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University; and

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French courageously served his state by entering the Kentucky State Police Academy as a Cadet on January 3, 1972, and thereafter graduated and was promoted to Trooper and assigned to Frankfort Post 12 in Scott County; he served at the Lieutenant Governor's Mansion from 1979-1980; he was assigned to and served in the Governor's Mansion from 1983-1985; he then served in the Public Affairs Office from 1985-1990; and he served in Driver's Testing from 1990-1999 and played the role of Santa Claus every year for the children of Kentucky State Police employees; and

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French further served the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Office of the Attorney General as an Investigator for the Welfare Fraud Section of the Special Investigation Division; and

WHEREAS, Larry Randall French will be remembered as a respected and well-loved member of the Scott County community and the state of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Blue Knights Goldwing Motorcycle Organization, he was a member of the Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 14, F and AM and the Bluegrass Chapter C, he was an auctioneer, he was a motor coach driver for the Bluegrass Charter, and he was a member of the Northside Christian Church; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Larry Randall French has left a void that will be difficult to fill and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Larry Randall French and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Larry Randall French.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Debbie Higdon French, 106 Teal Court, Georgetown, Kentucky 40324.
