A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Mary Frances Callahan Warren.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Mary Frances Callahan Warren, fondly known as "Miss Frances," and we pause in silent reverence in her memory.
WHEREAS, Miss Frances was born on July 10, 1921, a longtime resident of Clinton, Hickman County, Kentucky, and she traversed these earthly bounds on December 28, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Miss Frances was the loving daughter of the late Henry H. and Wilba Washburn Callahan; she was the devoted wife of Earl Warren, and the loving mother of a son, Earl Warren, Jr., and a loving sister to Dorothy Sue Kelley of Oakton, and she was the proud grandmother of three granddaughters; and
WHEREAS, Miss Frances was an esteemed member of the Hickman County community, where she devoted her adult life to volunteer work in Clinton and Hickman County; she was a children's worker at Clinton First United Methodist Church for fifty-four years, and past president of the United Methodist Women, and for more than twenty years, she helped conduct a free "Mother's Morning Out" at the church; and Miss Frances was a Girl Scout leader for twenty years, and she also served as county chairwoman for both the American Heart Fund and American Cancer Society; and
WHEREAS, Miss Frances was a member of the Clinton Homemakers Club and the Clinton Woman's Club for more than fifty years; in 1979, she was named Woodmen of the World Outstanding Citizen, and in 1991, she was the recipient of the Kentucky Human Services Volunteer Award presented by the Kentucky Federation of Women's Clubs, she was named Hickman County Citizen of the Year in 1994, and was on the Hickman County Museum Board of Directors since its founding; and
WHEREAS, Miss Frances was a devout member of Clinton First United Methodist Church where her funeral service was held on December 31, 2001, with burial in Clinton Cemetery; Miss Frances always had a bounce in her step, a twinkle in her eyes, and a smile on her face; she always left others feeling better for being in her company, and her departing words to others were always "I love you"; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Miss Frances Warren has left a void in Hickman County that cannot be filled, and she is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its utter sense of bereavement upon the passing of Miss Frances Warren, and extends to her family and many friends its most profound and deepest sympathy.
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Miss Frances Warren.
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Representative Charles Geveden for presentation to the family of Miss Frances Warren.
