University Staff Senate Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 2:01 p.m.
It was moved by Ware, seconded by Furry, and carried to approve the minutes of Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Election Results – Discuss results and take action on a tie vote
The results of the voting is as follows:
Area III: Administration representative is Hollie Moore
Area IV: Academic representative is Mary Jo Durni
Area VI: Facilities and Planning representative is Kelly Shea
LTE representative is Tonya Leibfried
Area V: Custodial tie between Anthony Isabella and Michael Fager
Discussion ensued about the bylaws not stating what to do in case of a tie. It was determined to do a run-off election and then if there were still a tie there would be a coin toss at the next senate meeting. Reflection of this decision will drafted and approved in the fall. McCarville also stated there were a few people that indicated that they wanted to participate on committees and they will be contacted soon.
The last meeting for outgoing senators is May 23; June 13 is the first meeting for the new members. Election of the new executive officers will be at the May 23 meeting. / Ken Wiegman
