GUIDELINES FOR WRITING REPORTS FOR APPLICANTS

The Selection Board would be grateful for as full a report on the applicant as possible. In writing the report, School Principals may find the following a helpful guide to the aspects of the applicant’s performance and potential that the Board would expect to be covered.

(i)  Academic achievements

·  Achievements in H.K.C.E.E., G.C.S.E., G.C.E. AS-levels, and the IB.

If this does not reflect the applicant’s potential ability, then please explain.

·  Assessment of A Level and AS Level grades expected in examinations to be taken by the applicant (indicate whether H.K. A Levels, U.K. A Levels, International Baccalaureate Examinations, etc.)

Please indicate your estimate of the applicant’s potential for higher studies in his/her proposed subject of study, with particular reference to the following:
