ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2) welcomes student leaders dedicated to learning about technology policy formation and what is required to launch a new business to apply for the inaugural University Entrepreneurs Congressional Internship Program.
Ideal student applicants are leaders on their campuses hailing from colleges and universities around the US. They are dedicated to growing their professional experience and leadership skills through a Congressional technology policy and startup focused internship, ultimately to foster a stronger presence of entrepreneurship on their own campuses.
APPLICATION CHECK LIST
  • The application requires four (4) components:
  • A completed application (see Page 2 of this document).
  • Your resume. If English is your second language, include your IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, or Cambridge ESOL score (if any) in your resume. Limit your resume to a maximum of three (3) pages.
  • A letter of recommendation from a university professor or adviser with their email and telephone number.
  • A transcript (unofficial and official are accepted).
  • Ensure that all information in your application is complete, accurate, and free of errors.
APPLICATION SUBMISSION
  • We are continually accepting applications for the internship program
  • Attach all four (4) components as PDFs via email.
  • Submit to with the subject: “[Last Name, First Name] – Intern Application”.
  • You will receive an acknowledgement email 24-48 hours that your application has been received.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students must be currently enrolled full-time and working towards their undergraduate or graduate degree.
In addition, applicants will:
  • Have high academic achievement (3.0+ GPA)
  • Superior analytical and writing skills
  • Active campus involvement – leadership and community service activities
  • A demonstrated interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship and/or policymaking
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS
Selected students receive:
  • Placement in 1) Congressional Senate and House Offices, 2) with startups, or 3) with VC/angel investors.
  • Leadership training and networking with venture capital firms, angel groups, corporate venture offices, government officials and prominent tech companies
  • Expected dates of participation are June 12, 2017 to August 7, 2017

The mission of the University Entrepreneurs Congressional Internship Program is to develop outstanding student leaders that seek to gain first-hand exposure to the policy issues associated with launching a startup.
