Univeris EWMS Version 11.1 Released - November 21, 2011

The following is an update of some of the enhancements implemented in this version as well as some of the known issues discovered.

GIC Enhancements

  • When the GIC interest option is set to Payout for new purchases, the calculation for the warning message now includes the interest for the next anniversary period plus principal.

This is applied to new GIC purchases or existing GICs not yet matured. The warning message is displayed when the total amounts go over the CDIC Limit.

  • EWMS now includes a TFSA indicator to be used when purchasing GICs into TFSA held Client Name plans instead of using the RRSP product type.

  • Modifications have taken place to the MGI GIC Purchase form as dictated by Bill C-37. These regulations are put into place by the government to ensure the customer is aware and protected when purchasing a GIC type instruments. The Regulations require that specific information be disclosed both verbally and in writing to clients when entering into an investment agreement. Note the following updates to the form;

Reports Enhancements

  • Univeris has added the csv format option to the list of output alternatives to choose from when generating a report. (csv. pdf. txt. html) This option will provide you with more ‘sorting’ flexibility.

RRSP Age Limit Listing Report

RSP Age Limit Listing Report

RRIF/LIF/LRIF Summary Report

Wire Order Exceptions Report

KYC Deficiency Report

Orders Enhancements

  • There is a change in the message in Order Entry when the trade has been Processed (OE), Submitted (OX); from “Successfully Placed” to “Order successfully submitted. Please verify the order has been “Wire Order accepted” (WA) by the Investment Company”.

Known Issues

  • RDBA Form – when completing new purchase transactions for GICs and generating an RDBA Form, a form in being printed for every GIC held in client account (multiple copies).
  • Transfer Form – relinquishing information is not being mapped to the generated transfer form.

  • Form malfunction for multiple product purchases– When entering purchases for multiple products in a single transaction i.e. one deposit, with multiple product purchases, the system is only recognizing the product that was entered first and generating the form for specific product only.

Reminder, implementation of the new version of Univeris EWMS this coming weekend and as a result it will be unavailable on Saturday Nov 19 from 10:00am – 1:00pm CST.
