COMMUNITY GOALS

I EDUCATION – helping youth achieve their potential.

  1. Children enter kindergarten prepared to succeed.
  • Measure: Boehm Test of Basic Concepts
  1. Elementary students read at or above proficiency.
  • Measure: 3rd Grade MAPS
  1. Chronic absenteeism is reduced.
  • Measure: # of K-12 students missing 10 or more days per semester and performing poorly academically.
  1. Students graduate ready for college or to enter the workforce.
  • Measure: on-time high school graduation and completion rates.

II INCOME - promoting financial stability and independence.

  • Measure: MPNA & YRBS data - # of students using illegal drugs, tobacco and/or alcohol.
  • Measure: BRFSS - # of adults using illegal drugs, tobacco and/or alcohol abuse.

  • Measure: Census - % of uninsured and underinsured
