Description of requirements:
UNICEF is requesting Expressions of Interest from eligible suppliers in preparation for a solicitation exercise for UNICEF Education Readymade Kits. The products identified fall under the following categories:
Category 1: School in a Box/Carton
Category 2: Early Childhood Development Kit in Box/Carton
Category 3: Recreation Kit in Box/Carton
Category 4: Arabic Kit
For an itemised list of products per category with detailed specification, please refer to accompanying Excel spreadsheet.
Potential suppliers:
This REoI is addressed to suppliers with experience in the sourcing and supply of a wide range of commodities pertaining to the above citatory of items.
UNICEF is particularly interested in identifying competitive suppliers that can offer all items within each category. To be noted Kits are to be supplied as complete with all listed items as well as individual kit items.
To be considered for the planned tender it is preferable, but not a requirement for potential suppliers to have a website providing detail listing of their product and service range
SECTION A: Supplier/s meeting below criteria are encouraged to express interest
Interested suppliers must submit all of their Quality Management System certifications and ISO certification.
I. Suppliers must be registered in UNGM and provide registration number
II. ISO 9001 certification
III. Suppliers must be able to provide all products in the kits
IV. Suppliers to confirm having all required certificates of conformity as listed in the product specification list. Test reports for all products will be required at the solicitation
V. Suppliers to provide In-House QC and inspection processes for incoming goods and outgoing kits
VI. Interested suppliers must submit all of their Quality Management System certifications and ISO certification.
VII. Suppliers to specify available warehouse space of the company
VIII. Suppliers will be required to provide full details of any 3rd party company contracted for supply of any kit item.
IX. Audited balance sheets and income statements must be provided to the UNICEF Supplier Evaluation Unit when requested
SECTION B: REUIREMENT OF PRODUCT/SERVICES CERTIFICATION
Only products/services having pre-market approvals / market clearances will be considered in the planned solicitation :
A. CE mark
B. FSC mark (for printed products)
C. Biodegradable/compostable certificate

Please note:
(a) Prices are not required at this stage;
(b) Questions about e.g. conformity of the supplier’s products will not be entertained;
(c) This REoI does not constitute a solicitation. Submitting an EoI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation document when issued;
(d) UNICEF reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final solicitation document.
(e) UNICEF reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the REoI and/or solicitation process.
