UniForum Project - Data/Business Analyst

Role

To assist the UniForum Programme Manager in the analysis and preparation of staff and supplier data, and in the support of Primary Contacts and Respondents during the collection and analysis period.

Indicative timelines and duties:

Timings / Task
July 2016 / Assist the Programme Manager and the HR Representative with the extraction and preparation of data for the staff collection.
July 2016 / Assist the Programme Manager and the Procurement/Finance Representatives with the extraction and preparation of data for the supplier collection.
July 2016 / Assist the Programme Manager and the HR Representative to define LSE’s organisational structure and hierarchy.
July 2016 / Develop a familiarity with the Uniforum project and protocols that need to be adhered to.
July 2016 / Assist the Programme Manager and the HR Representative in identifying the Primary Contacts and Respondents, answering queries with regard to verification of staff within scope.
August/September 2016 / Compile and upload data into UFAST (Uniforum submission system), appending, deleting and updating staff and supplier information as appropriate.
August/September 2016 / Support delivery of the training programme across the School, to both Primary Contacts and Respondents.
August/September 2016 / Support Primary Contacts and Respondents with queries about their use of UFAST.
August/September 2016 / With support from the Programme Manager, provide guidance to Primary Contacts and Respondents on data to be entered.
August/September 2016 / Support Primary Contacts and Functional Reviewers in the process of data checking and their use of Cubane-supplied reporting.
September/October 2016 / Manage data returns from Primary Contacts, to ensure they are provided in a timely manner, and in a format that aligns to UFAST’s requirements.
December 2016 onwards / Undertake analysis of results and provide Primary Contacts and senior staff with analysis and interpretation of their data.
December 2016 onwards / In the longer term, support the Programme Manager in the process of data analysis using Cubane Advanced Reporting Platform (ARP) and using any exported data.

Skills

·  High level of numeracy and IT skills, especially in the area of data analysis and reporting.

·  Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to different audiences.

·  Attention to detail (when merging, uploading and checking data).

·  Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with Primary Contacts and Respondents (and others).

·  Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels of seniority.

·  Strong organisational skills, including the ability to work without close supervision, and to organise and prioritise his or her own workload so as to meet deadlines.
