Understanding Epistle Greetings

Why is there no mention of the Holy Ghost in certain greetings? Is He less important or not theret?

Rom. 1:7 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I Cor. 1:3 Grace [be] unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ

2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father

Just because there are many titles does not mean there are multiple persons. If that is the case, you could misinterpret God as 4 persons in some scriptures just by counting titles:

I Thes. 3:11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

Col. 2:2 mystery of God AND the Father AND of CHRIST (if you add the Holy Ghost in this scripture, you’d have 4 persons)

Col. 3:17 Lord Jesus…thanks to God AND the Father (Holy Ghost would be 4 here, too)

James 1:27 before God AND the Father is… (are God and the Father 2 separate persons?)

Rev. 1:6 priests unto God AND His Father

Other three-fold references to God

2 Cor. 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all

I Cor. 12:4-6 same Spirit, same Lord, it is the same God

Is Satan four persons? Also called the wicked one, accuser of the brethren, father, and son of the morning, etc. Satan was all these things but he is one person. The same for Christ – He is the all in all but One person.

Rev. 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world

Rev. 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Isa. 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil,

The key to understanding these greetings is the necessity of accepting and recognizing God in all His roles and attributes. The Pharisees could accept the Father attribute but not the Son. Some accept the Son and believe the Bible by history but cannot accept the Holy Ghost speaking today. They are bound by creeds and tradition.

John 5:17-27 he that honoreth not the Son, honoreth not the Father

I John 1:3 truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ

I John 2:21-24 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
