 - HIM Information packet flyer inserts
 - New ways:
 - Take one poster and place it in a high profile area of your department
 - Include a link for the journal on your webpage
 - M. Reynolds Lagowski stated that the UCF URJ webmaster will be revamping the home page with more information relevant to interested students.
 - Ask your department to link to the journal under student opportunities
 - Brainstorm more ideas
 - R. Mohapatra suggested adding a function for students to submit questions or inquiries through the website directly, or a F.A.Q section. He also noted that many students in Mathematics are submitting to professional journals, making it more difficult for the UCF URJ to solicit submissions from them.
 - It was suggested that a section be added for the announcement of student publications and research accomplishments, as well as a page for short synopses/summaries/initial results from as-yet incomplete student projects, as announcements of forthcoming research.
 - R. Mohapatra & M. Reynolds Lagowski discussed the possibility of encouraging manuscripts from existing undergraduate research programs like RAMP, McNair, HIM, and others.

- Policy
 - Meetings for 2008-2009
 - Do two meetings per semester work?
 - It was generally agreed upon that meeting twice per semester is a good schedule.
 - Mornings or afternoons preferable?
 - K. Schneider suggested that one meeting be held in late morning, and one be held in early afternoon, to accommodate more board members who want to attend meetings.
 - Summer Plans
 - Need your help with manuscripts and reviewer suggestions as a result of ad campaign and SURE submissions – anticipate emails.
 - Mid-summer updates
 - Discussion
 - P. Jacques expressed concern for student whose manuscripts are not being returned to them until they have begun careers or post-baccalaureate education and do not have the time to revise and re-send the manuscript.
 - K. Schneider discussed the difficulty of receiving submissions directly following SURE because many students graduate and many faculty are busy during the summer or early fall when such a review is needed.
 - E. Montague suggested that students be encouraged to submit sooner, such as when they are first accepted to SURE.
 - K. Schneider discussed the possibility of revising thepost-SURE workshop on condensing a large paper into a poster, and then fleshing it out into an article.

- Manuscripts updates
 - “Factors Associated with Eating Disorders in Women” – Published!
 - “Application of Transformations in Parametric Inference” – Published!
 - “Turkey, the Caspian Region, and the Clash of Civilizations” – Published!
