  3. Correspondence

Harriet and I have been working with Sandie and Alice (Arts Program) in discussing collaborative events. Botanic Drawing will now run as an 8 week development ‘course’, with our 3 sessions already booked in with Andrew Seyward. This means they will cover costs for the rest of the sessions and at the end of the 8 week period they hope to exhibit the works created in each session as a presentation of artistically engaged students! We have also been discussing the art mural.

We have also workshopped our Creative Producer (CP) applications with Alice, who will be mentoring the CP of the Visual Arts side of Mudfest. We also discussed opening up Talking Out of Your Ars to program in exhibitions in the GPG. In this setting it will run more as an art crit that the artist can opt in to.

We have also been discussing the aesthetic development of the festival with Petra, Alice and Comms, who we are currently meeting with once a week to discuss our development.

We are also meeting with Alston from UMSU Disabilities Department regarding Mudfest Access Team planning, and creating an Access Line of funding from the next SAFF fund rollout.

We’ve also spoken to the Media department about potential collaborations – Above Water, SummerFest, Creative Arts Collective
