Founders Profile:

Sujeet Kumar: Ex President (COO) at Flipkart. Third Employee at Flipkart and established the business from scratch. He led business, and supply chain and was responsible for introducing COD in India and also set up Flipkart's own supply chain network Ekart

Amod Malviya : Ex CTO at Flipkart. He was responsible for building Flipkart's Tech stack across functions from scratch. He is one of the most renowned leader in the tech space in India, and is a major proponent of Open source.

Vaibhav Gupta : Ex SVP Finance, Analytics and Strategy at Flipkart. Led Product, Supply chain, business finance and strategy at different time at FK. Was responsible for fund raising.

About the Roles:

  1. Business Development:Presently Udaan is live across three categories – Food/FMCG, Clothing and Electronics. We are looking at not only deepening our presence in them but also add other categories.

In the business development role, one is expected to solution to simplify trade for businesses and make Udaan the default platform for B2B trade in India.

  • Launch categories of businesses. Deeply understand the business dynamic, value chain and the network and identifying areas to solve and value add to businesses
  • Identify problem statements and wear a product management hat to productise solutions along with engineers
  • Build vendor base on supply and demand, devising marketing plans and own end to end execution
  • Plan, execute and own numbers and P&L
  • Work cross-functionally (operations, credit, engineering) to problem solve and solution the various needs of the business
  1. Operations: With businesses (sellers and buyers) across India, we are building our operations to service our users on the Udaan platform. Operations being the backbone of e-commerce, as Udaan grow across categories, the size, scale and complexities will increase. We presently service over 99% of pin codes in the country.
  • Develop logistics partnerships, negotiate contracts and manage logistic network performance to deliver the cheapest, fastest and most reliable logistics experience
  • Identify and resolve problem areas for customers and logistic partners for consistent and transparent delivery experience
  • Take big picture ideas, problem solve and figure out solutions. Program manage the execution of these solutions
  • Workcloselywith our engineering &business teams on product building, process improvement and automation
