Come to our Graduate Open Day on Thursday, 3 March 2011 in UCD, Belfield, where we will be showcasing our wide range of Masters Programmes. This event will present an excellent opportunity for prospective graduate students to gain an insight into the programmes offered by the UCD College of Arts and Celtic Studies. Dr Marc Caball, Director of the UCD College of Arts and Celtic Studies Graduate School, Dr Graeme Warren, UCD School of Archaeology, Professor Muiris O’Sullivan, UCD School of Archaeology and Dr Jaime Jones, UCD School of Music) in the UCD Humanities Institute of Ireland (UCD HII) on Thursday, 3 March 2011.
UCD Online Applications will also be present in UCD HII on Thursday, 3 March at 5pm to answer any questions on the UCD Online Application System and Application Procedure.

UCD School of Archaeology

2..00 pm - 3.00 pm: Open Door Corridor drop in queries: All staff are available to answer queries about graduate programmes and facilities offered by the UCD School of Archaeology. This event will take place in the UCD School of Archaeology, K Corridor, Ground Floor, Newman Building.
3.00 –4.00 pm:Taught Graduate Programmes in the UCD School of Archaeology. A presentation by Dr Graeme Warren outlining the courses available, reasons for choosing UCD School of Archaeology for graduate studies, and procedures for applications. This event will take place in the UCD School of Archaeology in Room K012, Ground Floor, Newman Building.
Following this students are invited to attend either:
4.00 -5.30pm: Research Seminar: Dr Stefan Bergh (NUI Galway) ‘Places of Prominence: some aspects of the symbolic role of high places in Neolithic/Bronze Age Ireland’. This event will take place in Room C110, Newman Building.

UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies, Irish Folklore and Linguistics

The School of Irish, Celtic Studies, Irish Folklore and Linguistics will hold an information session on their postgraduate programmes on Thursday 3 March, from 3.30--5.00, in Room B204, Newman Building. The timing for the different subject areas will be as follows:
