Follow the procedures below when responding to refrigeration alarms after work hours or on weekends.

  1. If within vicinity, primary contact log onto EnviroAlert Portal at
  2. Enter User ID: SHCS; Password: keepmecold
  3. Click onto menu icon (upside down triangle) and select “Sensor Chart” for affected zone.
  4. Monitor temperature excursion. If temperature returns to acceptable range within 30 minutes, no action is required.Notifyother contacts by phone, e-mail or text that temperature has been restored to normal.
  5. If primary contact is not in vicinity, secondary contact is notified. If secondary contact is not in vicinity, tertiary contact is notified. Secondary and tertiary contact follows step 1- 10.
  6. If temperature remains outside of acceptable range after 30 minutes, primary contact will return to affected zone ASAP to confirm temperature excursion.
  7. If the temperaturereturns within normal range within2 hours or less, keep the vaccine in its original storage unit with the doors closed.
  8. If temperature is outside of normal range, move the vaccine to a working storage unit or emergency storage location (reference Vaccine binder at Zone location for emergency storage location).
  9. If unable to reach affected Zone within 2 hours, isolate the affected vaccine, mark the boxes with an “X,” and post a clear “Do Not Use” sign. DO NOT use or discard affected vaccines.
  10. Notify appropriate Vaccine Coordinators (Pharmacy Supervisor or Clinic Manager) by next business day to contact Manufacturer and/or Yolo County Health Department as appropriate (reference Vaccine binder at Zone location for contact phone numbers). Vaccine Coordinators will complete Vaccine Inventory Table (see attached).
