Two Sophisticated Pistols and One Robbed Swift Dzire Car Recovered

·  Notorious inter-state robber and extortionist Ved Prakash @ Sonu Boxer arrested from Vasant Vihar area.

·  Two sophisticated pistols and one robbed Swift Dzire car recovered.

·  The accused is wanted in more than 10 criminal cases of Robbery, Attempt to Murder etc.

The Anti-Extortion Cell of the Crime Branch has arrested a notorious interstate robber and recovered one sophisticated 7.65 mm pistol with 5 live cartridges and one .315 bore pistol with 5 more cartridges from his possession. He was driving a Maruti Swift Dzire car which was robbed at gunpoint from the area of PS Kharkhoda, Haryana. The arrested person has been identified as Ved Prakash @ Sonu Boxer (24 years) s/o Raj Roop Dabas r/o Village Rasulpur, PO Rani Khera, PS Kanjhawla, Delhi.

Insp. Arvind Kumar of the Anti Extortion Cell had received secret information regarding the criminal activities of one Ved Prakash @ Sonu Boxer. SI Braham Dev was deputed to develop this information. After sustained and diligent efforts, on 24.10.2009, a team under the close supervision of Shri Jasvir Malik, ACP/Anti Extortion Cell and consisting of Insp. Rajeev Kumar, SI Sanjeev Kumar, SI Braham Dev, HC Santraj, HC Jitender, HC Ramswarup, HC Dhir Singh, Ct. Chitranjan and Ct. Lalit Dixit laid a trap on Nelson Mandela Marg near PVR Priya, Vasant Vihar. At about 5 pm, the suspect Sonu Boxer came in a Maruti Swift Dzire car bearing No. HR13D 5320 from the Vasant Kunj side. The team immediately swung into action and intercepted the car and apprehended him successfully. One sophisticated 7.65 mm loaded pistol with 5 live cartridges and one .315 bore loaded country-made pistol with 5 more live cartridges were recovered from his possession. On verification, the Maruti Swift Dzire car was found robbed on gunpoint from the area of PS Kharkhoda, Haryana. A case vide FIR No. 184/09 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act r/w 411 IPC was registered at PS Crime Branch against the accused.

On interrogation, accused Sonu Boxer revealed that he has been committing robberies etc. in Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana. His associates are Kuldeep @ Monu of Pochanpur, Aman of Mundka and Rajesh Mogli. The accused Sonu @ Boxer is wanted in more than 10 criminal cases of Attempt to Murder, Robbery and Bank related dacoities of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan.

The accused Ved Prakash @ Sonu Boxer is a resident of Village Rasoolpur, Kanjhawla Delhi and completed his studies upto high school from Haryana Shakti Sr. Sec. School, Kanjhawla. Endowed with a natural talent for boxing, he started practicing at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. He claims to have represented Delhi at the National junior boxing championship where he won a silver medal sometime around the year 2001-02.

His first involvement in crime goes back to the year 2002 when he was arrested in case FIR No. 275/02 u/s 323/341/452/506/34 IPC PS Kanjhawla. During this period, he came in contact with Kuldeep @ Monu, a notorious criminal of the Krishan Pahalwan gang and resident of Village Pochanpur, Delhi and started his criminal career.

In the year 2005, he, was arrested alongwith his associates Billoo @ Rishi and Sanjeev @ Kala in case FIR No. 207/05 u/s 186/353/307/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act PS Jhajjar Haryana in which the accused persons had opened fire on a police party at a police check-point.

In the year 2006, alongwith his associates Sanjay Tyagi, Rajeev Kala, Harish @ Pappu and Sanjeev Lakra, Ved Prakash was arrested vide FIR No. 57/06 u/s 399/402/307/353 IPC & 25 Arms Act PS Sadar Bahadurgarh while they were assembled for killing of one Dandhu of Village Mandhothi in gang rivalry.

In July 2009, he also shot at a person near Metro Station Rithala in a public meeting organized by the MLA of Rithala constituency. A case of attempt to murder stands registered at PS Vijay Vihar in this regard. In August 2009, he alongwith his associate Kuldeep @ Monu robbed a Swift car at gun point from the area of PS Kapeshera.

Thereafter, Ved Prakash and his associates committed a number of sensational bank robberies, attempts to murder and other heinous crimes in Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana. During one such attempted robbery in the Jhunjhunu area of Rajasthan, some of his gang members were nabbed and the Swift car they had robbed from the Kapashera area was seized by Rajasthan Police.

Recently, Ved Prakash had also started grabbing disputed plots in different areas of Outer and West Delhi with the help of dreaded criminals of Krishan Pahalwan gang namely Aman Mundka, Rajesh Mogli, Kuldeep @ Monu etc. and extorted huge amounts of money. Several complaints are pending in different police stations of Delhi in this regard.

GANG OF NOTORIOUS SNATCHERS BUSTED

Special Staff of West District busted a Gang of notorious snatchers. One dozen incidents of snatchings have been worked out. Total four gang members have been arrested. Gang leader Vikas @ Vicky is previously involved in many cases of heinous nature and has recently been released from jail. The Gang was very much active in the area of West, Outer and North-West District.

One Motorcycle, Four snatched mobile phones, Looted I-cards and Driving License.

INFORMATION & OPERATION:

In the intervening night of 15-16/10/09 an incident of snatching took place in DTC bus on Pankha Road, opp. C-1, Janakpuri. Cash and mobile phones were snatched by the criminals. On this team of Special Staff West District was deployed to collect intelligence about the criminals. It has come to notice through secret sources that one criminal namely Vikas @ Vicky r/o Swaroop Nagar who has recently been released from jail after two years has constituted a gang and is actively committing snatchings and robberies on motorcycles in the area of West, North West and Outer District. Secret sources were deployed to trace the present whereabouts of the gang. On 24.10.09, specific information was received to the team of Insp. Rajkumar that the gang will come at Bus Stand Relief Camp, Main Rohtak Road, Peera Garhi, Delhi at about 07.00 pm to commit some crime. On this information a raiding party of Special Staff/West Distt under the supervision of ACP Sumer Singh Yadav consisting of Insp. Rajkumar, SI Manoj Kumar, SI Charan Singh, ASI Birpal, HC Ved Parkash, HC Sanjay Bhati, HC Sunil, Ct. Pawan, Ct Narenddra and Ct Shashi was constituted. A trap was laid near bus stand Relief Camp, Peera Garhi, Delhi. At about 07.00 pm two persons came whom the informer identified as the members of same gang. Thereafter at about 07.15 pm two more persons came on a motorcycle Bajaj Discover. The pillion rider was identified as the gang leader Vicky. All the four were apprehended by the police party and they disclosed their names as (1) Vikas @ Vicky S/o Shri Nand Kishore R/o Gali No.-14, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi, Age- 24 yrs (2) Anand Singh @ Anil S/o Shri Madho Singh R/o Gali No.-15, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi, Age- 23 yrs. (3)Satpal Singh @ Sonu S/o Late Shri Daya Singh R/o Gali No.-15, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi , Age- 23 yrs.(4)Zuber Ahmed S/o Shri Zafar Ahmed R/o Gali No.-1, Swaroop Nagar, Delhi, Age-23 yrs. On interrogation, case property i.e. two mobile phones and other documents wanted in case FIR No. 263/09 u/s 356/379/34 IPC PS- Janakpuri were recovered. All the four were arrested.

DISCLOSURE & MODUS OPERANDI:

During interrogation the gang leader Vikas @ Vicky disclosed that he belongs to a very weak economical back ground. Since childhood he came in contact with bad element and left studies and started committing petty offences. Previously he has been arrested in cases of Attempt to murder and Arms Act cases. He remained in jail for two years and has recently been released from the jail. After coming from jail, he met Yasin @ Yamin @ Sohail who was also his cell mate in jail and organized a gang comprising of Anand @ Anil, Zuber Ahmed, Satpal @ Sonu. All his gang members were already open to crime and under his leadership they started committing road robberies/snatchings in night almost on daily basis in different area of Delhi. After coming out from jail Vikas @ Vicky was eager to live life king size and rejuvenated his childhood love. He gifted good clothes and jewellery to his girlfriend. Anand @ Anil, Zuber and Satpal @ Sonu are also neglected from home and very much fascinated with the life style of their ideals Yashin @ Yamin and Vikas @ Vicky. They appreciated the acts of Yashin @ Yamin and Vicky. They want to follow each and every step taken by their Guru’s. The gang dreamed off to create a milestone in the history of crime so that they could be remembered besides their poor financial back ground. The gang used to target lonely people specially ladies during wee hours. Efforts are being made to apprehend Yashin@ Yamin @ Sohail.

Staff involved in the good work is being rewarded suitably.

Dacoity bids foiled, Two gangs of infamous bus robbers Marvin and Mushtaq @ Tamaater busted in separate incidents by of PS Saket, in a special drive with the recovery of Arms & ammunition.

INTRODUTION

With the arrest of notorious gang leaders Marvin and Mushtaq @ Tamaater in two separate incidents South district police official from PS Saket foiled Dacoity bids by the desperate criminals in the running buses. A total number of 10 criminals have been arrested and a deshi katta of 315 bore with a live cartridge, Six button activated knives and surgical blades have been recovered from them.

INCIDENT AND FORMATION OF TEAM

Keeping in view the spurt in incidents of Pick Pocketing and robberies and increasing menace of desperate pick-pockets in running buses a massive special drive was launched against the pick pockets and Bus robbers. Sh. Mehar Singh ACP/Hauz Khas constituted a team under the supervision of Sh. Pankaj Singh SHO/ Saket consisting of Inspector Dharam Dev Insp. Investigation Saket, SI Parveen Kumar no. D-1132, & SI Jitender Kashyap D-281, PSI Sanjay Sharma no. D-4106 along with HC Kuldeep No. 657/SD HC Vikram Singh No. 3258/SD , Ct. Ali gohar no. 1505/SD, Ct. Vikram no. 3258/SD, Ct. Ravinder no.1524/SD ,Ct. Dayaram no. 2290/SD, Ct. Babulal no. 923/SD, Ct. Manoj no. 3523/SD, Ct. Sodan 2944/SD of PS Saket. The team so formed activated its sources and the above accused persons were arrested on specific secret information while they were planning to commit dacoity in the running buses in two separate incidents.

ARREST & INVESTIGATION

On 23-10-09 Sub-Inspector Praveen Kumar along with HC Kuldeep No. 657/SD & other staff, on specific secret information laid a trap at DDA Park Lado Sarai. At around 7.30PM five persons who assembled in the park were apprehended while they were planning to commit the Dacoity in the running buses on Mehrauli Badar Pur Road who disclosed their names as 1.
