Two Rivers Arts Council Writing Contest Winners

Two Rivers Arts Councilis pleased to announce the winners of the Tales from TwoRivers2006 Senior Writing Contest.

Begun in 1979, the contest has resulted in over 3200 stories from seniors throughout Illinois and the nation. The annual story contest helps to preserve the rich heritage of Illinois as written by those who lived it.

Judges for the Tales from TwoRivers2006 Senior Writing Contest were Kim Funk, Rushville; June Russell, Lewistown, Cathy Null, Blandinsville; and Carol Walker, Rushville. Nearly 200 stories were submitted for the contest this year.

Tales from Two Rivers writing contests have produced five collections of selected stories. The last book, Version VI, is currently available for sale by contacting Two Rivers Arts Council.

Two Rivers Arts Council is a regional arts council that promotes the arts in thirteen counties in west central Illinois.
