TWO DESPERATE CRIMINALS WHO MURDERED A UP POLICE CONSTABLE BRUTALLY ARRESTED : WEAPON OF OFFENCE, ONE SEMI AUTOMETIC PISTOL (MADE IN ITALY), STOLEN MOTOR CYCLE AND ROBBED CASH RS. 5000/- RECOVERED

With the arrest of two desperate killers namely Amir S/o Ayub Rana R/o F-2/37, Nand Nagri, Delhi and Khem Chand S/o Shobha Ram R/o Shahdara, Delhi, staff of PS Neb Sarai, South District worked out a sensational case of murder of a Constable of UP Police and one case of auto lifting. Weapon of offence i.e. blood stained dagger, one semi automatic pistol (made in Italy), one stolen Motor Cycle and part of robbed cash Rs. 5,000/- (blood stained) recovered from their possession.

BRIEF FACTS :

On 26.10.11, a police team of PS Neb Sarai consisting of SI Manmeet Malik, SI Pravesh Lamba, ASI Suresh, ASI Lala Ram, HC Ashok No. 1522/SD, Ct Ritesh No. 1758/SD, Ct Jai Kumar No. 2888, Ct Umesh No. 1026/SD and Ct Manmohan No. 3313/SD was conducting checking of vehicles at IGNOU Road near Anupam Apartment under the leadership of Inspr. Jarnail Singh, SHO/Neb Sarai and overall supervision of Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP/Mehrauli. During checking, two persons namely Amir S/o Ayub Rana R/o Nand Nagri and Khem Chand S/o Shobha Ram R/o Shahdra, Delhi came from MB Road side on a black Pulsar Motor Cycle No. DL- 3SAW- 5682. They were stopped for checking and asked to produce the documents pertaining to vehicle, which they could not produce and tried to flee away from the spot but fell down on the road. Both were overpowered by the members of alert police party. On verification, the Pulsar Motor Cycle was found stolen from the area of PS Shakarpur. On formal search of Khem Chand, one pistol (made in Italy) was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 265/11 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 411/34 IPC PS Neb Sarai was registered and investigation taken up.

INTERROGATION :

On sustained interrogation, accused confessed that they along with their accomplices committed the murder of a Constable of UP Police in the area of PS Sahibabad and looted Rs. 40,000/-, one mobile phone and a motor cycle from him. They disclosed that while they were trying to steal a vehicle at Shiv Chowk near Ganesh Puri, UP, Ct. Jitender intervened and tried to nab them. They brutally killed him with the help of dagger. At the instance of the said accused persons, the weapon of offence i.e., a blood stained dagger and part of robbed money i.e. Rs. 5,000/- (blood stained) recovered. They also disclosed the names of their associates as Nadeem and Monu who associated them in the crime. Further investigation is on to nab the absconding accused.

RECOVERY:

  1. One semi-automatic pistol (made in Italy)
  2. Two live cartridges (7.65 bore)

3. One stolen motor cycle Pulsar No. DL- 3SAW- 5682.

4. One blood stained dagger used in crime.

5. Part of robbed Cash Rs. 5000/-.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS :

  1. Amir (21 years) S/o Ayub Rana R/o F-2/37, Nand Nagri, Delhi is previously involved in two cases of Arms / Gangster Act and robbery of PS Sahibabad, UP. He completed his primary education and presently studying in 10th Class from Open School. He is unemployed and unmarried.
  1. Khem Chand (24 years) S/o Shobha Ram R/o Shahdra, Delhi is previously involved in 9 cases of theft of PSs M.S. Park, Harsh Vihar and Welcome. He is illiterate, unemployed and unmarried.

ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZED

The staff of PS Ranhola has arrested one person hoarding illicit liquor in case FIR No. 237/11, dated 26/10/11, U/S 33/38 Delhi Excise Act, PS Ranhola, the staff of PS Ranhola unearthed a case of illicit liquor supply in west district.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED

1. Gulabo W/o Ramesh R/o B-74, Deepak Vihar, Vikas Nagar, delhi. Age- 30 yrs. She is an uneducated and unemployed lady.

RECOVERY

1. 496 quarters illicit Haryana excise liquor (total 89.280 liters) of different companies and make (i.e. Golden Border Whisky, Special Deluxe, Bagpiper, Besto Whisky, Joshila Santra Spicy etc.) were recovered from the possession of Gulabo from her above house.

INFORMATION AND ARREST

In view of forthcoming Diwali festival, it was a known secret this time that illicit liquor would be supplied in Delhi. Hence it was expected that being border area, the illicit liquor would be supplied through stocked in the area of PS Ranhola. So, senior Police officials had directed to keep close vigil over such activities and persons to prevent such activity and to apprehend such criminals. So on a secret information, a lady namely Gulabo W/o Ramesh R/O B-74, Deepak Vihar, Vikas Nagar, delhi was arrested with 496 quarters illicit Haryana excise liquor (total 89.280 liters). Hence the above noted case FIR 237/11 u/s 33/38 Delhi Excise Act was got registered and further investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI

A team consisting of ASI Jai Singh, HC Randhir Singh No. 265/W & Ct Jitender No. 1686/W under the supervision of Inspr. A.K. Singh, SHO/Ranhola and under overall supervision of Shri Raj Kumar ACP/ Nangloi was constituted. On 26/10/11, secret information was received that there is a huge stock of illicit liquor at B-74, Deepak Vihar, Vikas Nagar, Delhi. So, police party conducted a raid and recovered 496 quarters illicit Haryana excise liquor (total 89.280 liters) of different companies and make from the possession of a lady Gulabo W/o Ramesh R/o B-74, Deepak Vihar, Vikas Nagar, delhi and she was arrested in this case. Hence above noted case was registered and investigation was taken up.

Staff involved in the good work is being rewarded suitably.

GANG OF NOTORIOUS CRIMINALS SERVING LIFE TERM ON BAIL ARRESTED INVOLVED IN NUMEROUS ROBBERIES

With the arrest of three notorious criminals namely (1) Naresh @ Karne S/o Ratan Singh, (2) Satish S/o Rati Ram and (3) Joginder @ Leela S/o Om Prakash South-West Distt. Police has solved two cases of robbery. One country made pistol and two live rounds have also been recovered from their possession.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED

(1) Naresh @ Karne S/o Ratan Singh R/o Dharampura Extn., Najafgarh, New Delhi Age-30 Yrs, used to work as a conductor on Blue line bus and helper on the trucks plying on long routes. For the last 2-3 months he has been working as a driver on an Easy Radio Cab.

(2) Satish S/o Rati Ram R/o VPO Bharana, PS Beri, Distt., Jhajjar, Haryana Age-25 Yrs who is involved in a case of kidnapping in Sonepat, Haryana in 2006. He has also worked as Conductor in Blue Line bus.

(3) Joginder @ Leela S/o Om Prakash R/o Village Mandhoti, PS Sadar Bahadurgarh, Haryana Age-30 Yrs, serving life term in a murder case in which he killed a person of their own village with criminal background, as he was beaten up by the deceased. Since then a gang war type of situation has arisen between these two families of village Mandothi. After the incident he left the village and started residing at Roshanpura, Paprawat Road, near Rao Man Singh School, Najafgarh, New Delhi.

BACKGROUND

All the above named persons used to work as conductor/driver on blue line buses for last 3-4 years during which they came in touch and started committing robberies. These persons used to commit robberies and snatchings mostly in South-West and West Delhi. Joginder @ Leela is serving life term in a murder case along with his real brother Dinesh in which he killed one Jaiveer and is currently on bail of Hon’ble Court. He is having a gangster type rivalry with the family of Jaiveer in the same Village Mandothi, PS Bahadurgarh, Haryana.

INCIDENT, TEAM & INTERROGATION

On 26/10/11 Insp. Naresh Kumar, SHO along with his team comprising SI Data Ram, HC Bijender No. 189/SW, HC Lakhmi Chand No. 1562/SW, Ct. Om Prakash No. 839/SW, Ct. Praveen No. 611/SW and Ct. Kulbir No. 1462/SW, were busy in investigation of FIR No. 238/11 U/s 307/186/353/34 IPC and 27,54,59 Arms Act when one secret informer informed that 3 boys carrying an illegal arm would pass in a easy cab Radio Taxi from Kakraula Mod to Dwarka with a plan to commit some criminal activity. Acting on the information SHO briefed the team and a trap was laid on NSIT, Sec-3 Dwarka picket. At around 3:50 PM the easy cab came from which the above mentioned three persons were nabbed. On personal search a country made pistol and two live rounds were recovered from the possession of Satish who further disclosed about his involvement in some robberies which were committed by him along with his other associates. On this Satish was arrested under Arms Act. On sustain interrogation the under mentioned cases were solved and respective recovery made:

  1. FIR No. 336/11, Dt. 12/10/11, U/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Najafgarh, New Delhi in which Satish, Naresh @ Karne, Joginder @ Leela and Ranbir @ Golu robbed a building material supplier of Rs. 50,000/- cash on gun point from his office at Nangli Dairy, Najafgarh, New Delhi.
  2. FIR No. 304/11, Dt. 19/10/11 U/s 392/34 IPC PS Dwarka South, New Delhi in which Joginder @ Leela and Satish robbed a person near Sec-8, Dwarka of a Gold chain, a Ring and Rs. 5000/- in cash.

RECOVERY

  1. One country made pistol with two live rounds.
  2. One radio taxi Reg No. DL 1RX 6645 white Hyundai Accent.

A GANG OF ROBBERS BUSTED: 1 ACCUSED ARRESTED, 01 MOBILE AND 01 INNOVA CAR RECOVERED.

With arrest of one robber namely Mewa Lal s/o Munna Lal r/o 1/58, A Block Ramesh Nagar, Delhi, the staff of PS KNK Marg, Outer District has worked out 02 cases of robbery and recovered 1 Innova Car and a Mobile Phone, E-72, NOKIA.

INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS:

In order to curb the incidents of robbery, a team comprising of SI Varun Dalal, No D-95, HC Kiran Pal No 479/OD, Const Jagjeet No 845/OD, Const Om Singh No 1106/OD, Const Jaiender Singh No 1226/OD and Const Amarjeet Singh 1246/OD was constituted under the supervision of SHO/KNK Marg to develop information as well as to keep close watch over the activities of robbers who had earlier arrested or wanted in some robberies and snatching cases. During the process of verification of snatchers, it was learnt that accused Mewa Lal alongwith his associate Ajay @ Pauva had committed robbery of mobile phone E-72 make NOKIA and a purse containing Rs 11000/- from a LIC Agent vide case FIR No 391/10 dated 11.12.10 u/s 394/34 IPC in the area of PS K N K Marg. The members of the team were given specific task for nabbing these robbers.

The information was further developed and sources were deployed which finally brought good results. On 24.10.11, an information was received from a reliable source that robber Mewa Lal would pass through Sec-27 Rohini, Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. The members of team immediately swung into action and a trap was laid at Sector-27, Rohini, Village Shahbad Dairy, Delhi. At about 3.00 PM, accused Mewa Lal came. On seeing the police party, he tried to run away from the spot but the alert members of team promptly overpowered him leaving no scope for him to flee away. On physical search, he was found in possession of E-72 Mobile Phone make NOKIA the case property of case FIR No 391/10 dated 11.12.10 u/s 394/34 IPC PS K N K Marg

INTERROGATION:

On sustained interrogation, he confessed the commission of committing Robbery in the area of PS KNK Marg. Accused Mewa Lal had earlier worked as driver. He had committed the robbery of the above noted case alongwith Ajay @ Pauva. Later on, Ajay @ Pauva was arrested in case FIR No 31/11 u/s 304/394/34 IPC P.S Naraina on 25.2.11 and is still in Judicial Custody. Accused Mewa Lal later joined Vijender and Sonu both resident of Sonepat, Haryana. They committed the robbery of Innova Car from the driver on the pretext of asking the route. They overpowered the driver and took the vehicle in Sonepat Haryana. The driver was dropped in the fields during the night by taking away his two mobile phones. Accused Mewa Lal used the vehicle in his native place Amethi (U.P). He wanted to sell the Innova but could not get a purchaser for want of valid documents of the vehicle. He abandoned the Innova car in Partap Garh (U.P) near Amethi in the month of August. The said Innova had been recovered. More recovery is expected after the arrest of remaining two co-accused Vijender and Sonu.

MODUS OPERANDI:

The modus operandi of the gang members is that they used to trace costly vehicles which can be robbed off easily by overpowering the driver. In both cases of robbery, accused Mewa Lal overpowered the complainants for committing the crime.

1. Mewa Lal aged about 26 years s/o Munna Lal r/o 1/58, A Block Ramesh Nagar Delhi. He is married having three daughters and a school drop out from 6th class. He has a stout built.

TWO BURGALARS ALONGWITH ONE RECEIVER OF STOLEN PROPERTY ARRESTED

With the arrest of Sehjjad (Age 22 yrs) S/o Islamuddin R/o B-361, Meer Vihar, Madan Pur Dabas and Hasrat Ali (Age 23 yrs) S/o Mohd. Jamil R/o D-387, Meer Vihar Madan Pur Dabas, staff of P S Aman Vihar has busted a gang of burglars which specifically targeted showrooms selling electronic items. The receiver of stolen electronic goods Sarwar Ali (24 yrs) S/o Mohd. Rafiq R/o A-22, Amrit puri, Ghat Gate, Jaipur has also been arrested from Jaipur.

BRIEF FACTS & TEAM :

On 19.10.11 at about 6 pm Ct Rajender No. 871/OD & Ct Haider Mehndi No. 2621/OD were on patrolling duty in Vidyapati Nagar. They received an information that one person is carrying a button operated knife near Electric transformer in Vidyapati Nagar. On this information a team comprising HC Heera Singh No. 183/OD alongwith Ct Rajender No. 871/OD & Ct Haider Mehndi No. 2621/OD was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Anil Kumar, SHO/Aman Vihar and they apprehended Hasrat Ali from whose possession a button operated knife was recovered and accordingly a case vide FIR No. 320/11 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered.

Interrogation :

During interrogation of Hasrat Ali it was found that he is involved in 07 criminal cases including 02 murder cases of PS Uttam Nagar. On sustained interrogation he further revealed that he had burgled three shops at Mubarakpur road alongwith Sehjjad and had stolen 09 LCDs. He further revealed that they sold these LCDs in Jaipur to one Sarwar Ali who is Hasrat Ali’s relative. One LCD & two woofers (Audio Columns) were recovered from Harat Ali & Sehjjad’s possession

A police team was formed and dispatched to Jaipur from where Sarwar Ali was arrested and from his possession 05 LCDs were recovered.

Profile :

  1. Hasrat Ali has studied upto 5th class and is a school dropout. He works as helper in Grameen Sewa.
  2. Sehjjad is also a school dropout and also works as helper in Grameen Sewa.
  3. Sarwar Ali works in a cloth shop in Jaipur.

Recovery Made :

  1. One 32 inches LCD.
  2. Two woofers (Audio Columns).
  3. Five 22 inches LCDs from Sarwar Ali.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR METRO WORK AT JANPATH

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start Tunnel work for new metro line from Central Secretariat to Mandi House at Janpath from Eastern Court to Janpath – Tolstoy crossing on 29.10.2011. This portion of Janpath will remain closed for about one year. Following traffic arrangements are being planned for the period:

Traffic Diversion:

  1. There will be no traffic movement from Windsor Place R/A towards C.P. on Janpath and from intersection of Janpath Tolstoy Marg to Janpath.
  1. There will be limited access from Windsor Place towards Connaught Place for buildings located on the affected stretch.

Bus Diversion:

i) Buses coming from South Delhi Rajpath side and going towards C.P. will be diverted on Dr. Rajender Prasad Road, R/A Krishi Bhawan, Red Cross Road, Parliament Street, Ashoka Road R/A Gole Dak Khana, Baba Kharak Singh Marg and enter C.P.

ii) Buses coming from C.P. and going towards South Delhi will be diverted on K.G. Marg, T/R on Ferozshah Road, R/A Windsor Place and normal route.

Suggested Routes:

  1. General traffic coming from South Delhi side towards C.P. can take R/A Moti Lal Nehru Marg, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, R/A Sunehri Masjid, Rafi Marg, Red Cross Road, Sansad Marg and reach C.P.
  1. Alternative available will be R/A Moti Lal Nehru Marg, Akbar Road, R/A Man Singh Road, Akbar Road, C-Hexagon, Kasturba Gandhi Marg and reach C.P.
  1. General traffic coming from C.P. and going towards South Delhi can take either Kasturba Gandhi Marg or Sansad Marg and further towards destination.

Parking

To facilitate movement of traffic, there will be parking restrictions on Tolstoy Marg, Jantar Mantar Road, Ashoka Road, Ferozshah Road and Janpath Lane.
