Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s” - ROMANS 14:8 This is the essence of stewardship – everything we have and everything we are is gift from God. We aren’t “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts that God has given us, especially our very own lives. Pray to God, daily, and ask Him how He wants you to use the gifts He has given you.

A JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF
“Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.”
This program is designed to help men and women work through the grief that one experiences in reaction to the loss of a loved one. Through education and confidential mutual support, we will come to understand that the grieving process has elements common to everyone though our losses are unique to each person. As we travel this journey together, we will learn coping skills, begin to find new strengths within and hope to ease our way on this journey. The group is open to all members of the community regardless of religious affiliation.
We will meet on THURSDAY for nine (9) weeks. There is no fee but pre-registration is required as the maximum number of participants is 15 people.

Many volunteers are needed for our upcoming celebration of the parishes 75th Anniversary. This could require as little as an hour or two to being a full, active member throughout the entire process. Whatever time you can give, we will accept. Some of the programs we have in place where help is needed:
Fundraising Committee- several fundraisers throughout the next year and a half to help offset the cost of our 75th Anniversary Celebrations. A tricky tray in April, Meatball Dinner in Fall, Cookie Walk in December, Golf Outing in Spring and many other fun events.
Youth Events Committee – special events aimed at our younger parishioners to share the history and pass along the legacy of Corpus Christi.
School Alumni Committee – we would love to have former Corpus Christi School alumni share in this celebration, If you are an alumni or just great at tracking people down, we could use your help.
75th Anniversary Gala Committee – we plan to celebrate with a dinner dance in September, 2019.
Dedication/Program Book Committee – We need assistance in the historical research, layout, ad sales, and promotion of the book.
Interviews – we are looking for parishioners who have information to share about our parish. If you have been a long time member or simply have some interesting facts/stories to share please contact the rectory.
If you can help in any way, please call the parish office.
