Shoes worn for dance classes should not be worn outside of the studio. Black soled shoes are not permitted in the studios. Any articles of clothing not listed, with the exception of warm-ups (must be approved by the instructor) are not to be worn in class. Jewelry is not to be worn in class. We believe that strict adherence to the dress code promotes the proper discipline, attitude and performance in dance class. If a student is not in proper uniform, they will be sent out of class and will not be allowed to participate.

ATTENDANCE:

Students must be dropped off no more than 15 minutes before class and picked up promptly. Students late to class must have a valid excuse in order to be admitted to class. If the warm-up portion of the class is over, the student may be asked to sit and observe the remainder of the class. If a student must be late, absent or must leave class early, a parent must call the studio to inform the instructor before class begins. Students are expected to attend all classes consistently. If a student does not attend classes consistently, he or she may be moved to a lower level and/or be removed from the concert and costume fees will not be refunded. Make-up classes are not given.

CLASS DISCIPLINE:

While in class, students must give their full attention to the instructor. Students may not chew gum, eat or drink during class, and may not leave the classroom without the permission of the instructor. Any student talking and/or behaving inappropriately during class may be asked to leave.

PICK UP POLICY:

Students not picked up 10 minutes after class will be charged at a rate of $5.00 every 10 minutes thereafter. If you are going to be late picking up your child (ren), you must call the studio to inform us.

DISMISSAL:

Any student whose attitude, conduct, or compliance with these policies is found to be unsatisfactory with BodyArts’ staff will be subject to dismissal from the school and the registration fee, deposit and tuition will not be refunded.

PROMOTIONS:

Each dancer progresses at an individual rate. The ages accompanying each Pre-Ballet level are guidelines only. The instructor will notify parents and students when they are ready to move up to the next level of training.

OBSERVERS:

Parents, siblings, etc. are welcomed to come and watch students during class. Observers may watch through the window located in the doors of each studio. Observers are not allowed inside the studio except when the instructor invites observers in to the studio. Siblings, friends and other minors are allowed to wait for students in the lobby area only if an adult accompanies them. Please do not leave children unattended. Food and drinks, except water, are not allowed inside the lobby area, dressing room or the studios.

INJURY AND LOSSES:
