Secretary Minutes
The meeting minutes for June’s Board MeetingDoug Howard makes a motion to accept as reported. 2nd by Trevor Tripp. Approved
Treasurer’s Report
48,016 in the bank – Conservation 17,984 Money Market 3,141 Checking 26,890
Ken Waldie has written up a Job description and sent it to the board.
Bill Cosgrove has asked for any members looking to joining the Financial Committee.
Roy has mentioned that we are spending a lot of money for the meeting room. He will look into the American Legion or the VFW as an alternative.
We still need a treasurer.
Banquet Report
We are looking for donations and volunteers now. And we should look to contact Hornbeck for the boat delivery.
Elections
Elections were in June.
Doug Howard, Glenn Kuhles, and Jeff Bull have been elected.
Heath Clayson – President.
Greg Cuda will be running for VP.
Chris Franchini – Secretary.
Treasurer – Open.
Conservation Report
State Park – Greg has volunteered to talk to the park about the crushed stone that has washed into the creek.
Battenkill –John Braico has been moved to the National Level. The proposal to put the river back into the Eldritch Swamp. It was moved over 150 years ago. Doug has the pictures and the diagrams for the proposal for the new flow.
Dwaas Kill – 4 Temp Loggers are in, and monitoring. Doug will go back and check on them and add more.
Cayudetta – No report.
Catskill Watershed Alliance – Tracy Brown told Roy that a private donor is looking to donate money to do something with the Willowemoc Creek.
Onesquethaw – No report
State Line Riffle – Chunks Brook – No report.
Schenevus Creek – Otsego County has made a proposal for
Doc Shaul Spring – Over 800 trees were planted.
Roy is making a motion to buy the Garmin Seamless Topo for the current version. 2nd from Doug Howard. All in favor. This will allow us to map the coordinates provided by the people putting in Temp Loggers etc.
Roy has made a motion to spend 20,000 for the Lantern Krauss Meyer property this year. Doug Howard has 2nd the motion. All in favor.
Discussion was over the Budget.
Events
Adopt-a-Highway Program August 26th and October 7th.8 people came to the Cleanup on the 24th. 4 TU and 4 from the Conservancy.
June 21st – Sunnyview Fishing needs more volunteers. We have 5 signed up.
June 24th – Fly Fishing Class. 2 have signed up.
Education Report
Fly Fishing Class –1-day course on the 24th of June for a 10-hour class. Provide Lunch for $35 to include membership for non-members $15 for Members. With a rain date. Schmidt Meadow Preserve. It was postponed we now have 12 people for the course. The day might be split into two days, and held in August still to be determined.
Trout in the Classroom: No report.
Membership Report
3 new members this past month. Letters will go out to the new members.
555 Active this month. 16 People renewed.
We had 50 people at the meeting last month. Not sure if the incentives are working. We have more incentives for this months to test. We are looking to purchase a $25 gift card from Goldstocks and Fly Shack for the Monthly Meeting Incentive.
Gloversville Satellite Chapter
No report.
Schoharie Satellite – SUNY Cobleskill TU Five Rivers
No report. On Break.
Newsletter
We have a draft with all the open positions to put in the newsletter. We also will be asking for the Financial Committee members. With a list or responsibilities.
We will be going to Mail Chimp to save a little money every month.
Programs

Main concern was the Boat Launch in Otsego county.

Quartermaster Report
We have an overhead projector. Going to dispose of it.
Robin Hill will take the rods for Project Healing Waters.
Richard went to LL Bean and exchanged the rod for a new one and a reel.

Nothing new.

Doug has 17 Temp loggers in the water. And has
Budget Discussion. Long and ardous. We decided to have a planning meeting and send the results.
