  1. If you are using the NeatConnect scanner wirelessly and do not see the items that scanned successfully, you will want to first make sure the Sync with Neat Cloud Service has completed in the Neat software since the scanned items are uploaded to Neat Cloud Service first and then down-synced to Neat on your PC. Any items scanned to the Neat Cloud Service from the NeatConnect scanner will automatically go into theFrom NeatConnectfolder underInbox, but can then be moved to another folder.

  3. If you still cannot find the items you are looking for within the Neat cabinet, you can close Neat and search your PC. Search for *.nwcabor *.nwdb. If you find results other than the location of the cabinet you are currently using, open that location . It should open within a “Neat Data” folder containing the necessary cabinet files: ImageDB1.nwdb (there may also be ImageDB2, ImageDB3, etc), Neatworks.nwdb, My Cabinet.nwcab (depending on the name you chose when you set up the cabinet initially). If you find a folder that contains these files, make sure Neat is closed first. Then you can open that cabinet by dragging the *.nwcab file directly on top of the Neat shortcut on your desktop. Then you can search that cabinet for the missing data.
  4. If all else fails and you have previously backed up your data within Neat using its built-in Backup feature, you can restore the previous backup.
