TRIP OVERVIEW: Troop 200 will again celebrate Thanksgiving at the Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center, Toano, VA. Like last year we are inviting Webelos from the area along with all our families to share in this wonderful food and fun we have planned.

SHOW TIME is FRIDAY, 13 Nov at 1600 in Field Uniform with Activity Uniform underneath. Scouts should eat dinner before arriving at the church or bring something to eat with them. The drive is ~1/2 hour.

RETURN TIME is SUNDAY, 15 Nov at 1400 following a small service project, “a Scout is Reverent” service in Field Uniform and Start/Stop/Continue. A call will be made to the parents picking up their scout if the time changes more than 15 minutes.

ACTIVITES: We will have some fun things planned for the Webelos and we will show them how we roll! After Saturdays Thanksgiving dinner, the adults will enjoy a show put on by the scouts. Then Sunday morning we will do a service project to give back to WilliamsburgChristianRetreatCenter. Please don't forget your scout books because you should be able to get things signed off this weekend also.

UNIFORM: Each Scout should be in Field Uniform with their Activity Shirt underneath to travel. You should also be in your Field Uniform for your "Scout is Reverent" service. Your Troop 200 Hoodie would also be a smart choice to bring for that cool weather.

COST: The total cost for this campout will be $45.00 per scout to cover the facility, food, gas, toll and some of your special activities. There is always a possibility of some money being refunded after everything is accounted for. If any of your family members are coming to meet you for dinner the will need to pay $5.00 in advance for each person and I will need their names.

FOOD: You should plan on a Cracker Barrel Friday evening. Breakfast for Saturday morning and Sunday morning and sandwich lunches for Saturday and Sunday. Then you will be providing the side dishes for Saturdays great Thanksgiving Dinner! The Troop Grubbie will assign side dishes to each patrol for the big dinner.

DIRECTIONS: Take 64-W towards Richmond. Exit-227/(VA-30) West Point/Toano. Merge onto Old Stage Rd/VA-30 toward West Point/Barhamsville. Turn left onto Barnes Rd. The RetreatCenter will be on your right (Look for a sign), it is a gravel road.

GEAR: Bring clothing for COLD WET WEATHER and really cold nights. Always remember your bug spray and sun screen.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Current BSA Medical Forms are required and possibly some waiver forms depending on what you plan to do.

REGISTRATION: Patrol leaders will CALL their scouts for initial sign up numbers. Then the final sign ups will be done at Troop meetings. Any cancelations after FINAL FRIDAY (November 6th) will still be obligated to pay the campout fee. Scouts should make sure they have enough money in their accounts. Family members will need to get their money in by 6 Nov too.
