I. Treasurer’s Report:
Approved minutes from previous meeting
Approved Financial Report
II. Public Participation and Recognition:
The board recognized exchange student Saawaluck “Mai
Thakiratinantaprecha from Thailand and her host family Brian &
Carolyn Crist.
Representatives from the Muskingum Area Mental Health and Recovery
Services Board to discuss the services that levy dollars provide to the
area school systems.
III. Personnel Items:
Certified:
Approved 8 – 9 weeks of maternity leave to Michelle Galloway,
High School Science Teacher, beginning on or about November 15
and continuing until the middle of January, 2009.
Approved thirty work days of maternity leave to Katie Susil beginning
on or about December 10 and returning approximately February 4,
2009.
Classified:
Accepted the resignation of Matthew Gross as special education aide
at Tri-Valley Middle School, effective October 14, 2008.
Issued one year contacts to the following as part-time assistant
cooks for the 2008-09 school year:
Jennifer Shepherd – Dresden Elementary
Jayme Oler-Wisecarver – Dresden Elementary

IV. Superintendent’s Report:
Approved all Professional Leave Requests.
Approved the three (3) year lease agreement with The Longaberger
Company for the property at 1330 Main St., Dresden (the playground
equipment) at the cost of One Dollar ($1.00) commencing November 1,
2008 and ending October 31, 2011.
Held a discussion concerning the George Helbling hearing.
