Call to Order:

Public Comment:

No public was present at this meeting.

Parade:
Tom Swanger with the Northern Nevada ATV Association has asked that we re-work the

Parade entry form to better describe the entry. We would possibly create a check box list

trying to describe whether the entry will be on a horse, a trailer float walking or riding in a vehicle. This would also help the judges confirm the category.

Ro’s Job:

Glenda, Iva and Suzan agreed to meet to split the duties associated with the fantastic job Ro has done for the past 8 years. Ro presented each with disks of the pertinent data.

Ro reiterated that she will assist at this year’s fair but will not be in charge. At future fairs she will be happy to clerk during judging sessions.

Reports:

The board reviewed the Budget to Actual Expense, Entry Count and Food vendor reports for the 2015 Fair.

The fair will break even with a plus or minus $500 margin.

Our total entries are up about 210 checked in entries.

Food and Alcohol sales reports are up by $5,500.00

Fair Guide:

The board reviewed the suggestions for the next fair guide.

The board decided to stop allowing Seniors to enter both the adult and senior division.

The board decided to drop the Wilton Cake Decorating Contest.

The boot decorating contest was well received. We should consider themes and add a new contest for the next theme at the next meeting.

The scavenger hunt also received good participation. The board would like to continue it.

The board agreed to change the descriptive rules for Fine Arts.

The board agreed to change the descriptive rules for Recycling.

The board decided to move tole painting from Fine arts to Crafts Decorative Painting.

The board discussed the Craft division and would like to add a “Mixed Media” class.
