Here at Laser Aesthetics, we take a lot of pride in setting all our clients up on the best path for success. We also understand this could be your first experience with laser lipolysis, and possibly are not sure what to expect coming into your first session. ForWe strive to set every new client up for the best path to success, so this reason, we have created this treatment preparation guide just for you.

Prior to Treatment:

  • Be adequately hydrated coming into your treatment. We recommend 30-60 oz of water 1-2 hours prior, leading into the time you arrive.
  • Eat no less than 30-60 minutes before your treatment.
  • Bring appropriate clothing based on the area you’re targeting. The pads need to be applied directly on the skin, so the area will have to be exposed. Ex: Wear shorts to treat any area of the legs.

Optional: Print medical history form and fill out prior to visit

Treatment Process:

  • Before your first treatment you will have a brief consultation. Here we will discuss what the lasers do, how they can best benefit you, discuss medical history and lifestyle information (if necessary) and answer/address any questions or concerns you may have.
  • We begin by placing two small laser pads on a set of lymph nodes that is closest to the treated area. This is generally going to be on the top of the thigh/pelvic region, or the side/back of the knee.
  • We then place 4 pads on and around the desired treatment area.
    Most commonly treated areas: lower abdomen/sides, lower back, hips/glutes, inner thighs
  • Relax and hang out for 20 minutes!

Post Treatment:

  • Post treatment cardio exercise is done to metabolize (or “burn”) off the body fat that is released as result of the treatment. We recommend 30-60 minutes of cardio, depending on the level of intensity performed. Higher intensity = shorter duration
  • DO NOT eat anything in between the treatment and your workout. Wait until you have finished your workout.
  • Drink lots of water during your workout and leading into your next meal. We recommend another 30-60 oz in this timeframe.

Get your post treatment cardio in within 3 hours of your treatment for best results.
