TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR

Central Arkansas Water (CAW), located in the heart of Arkansas and serving the Little Rock-North Little Rock Metropolitan area, is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Treatment Plant Operator.

CAW is the largest public drinking water system in the state of Arkansas, providing a population of over 390,000 with exceptional water and outstanding service. The Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for operating treatment plants; maintaining records and logs; performing minor mechanical work; assisting with delivery of chemicals; acting as Dispatcher after hours; monitoring and controlling booster stations and tanks; and performing compliance monitoring of Surface Water Treatment Rule. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED including Algebra; must be able to work rotating shifts-nights, weekends, and holidays; lift or move 60 pounds; read charts, maps, gauges, etc.Must obtain the Arkansas Water Licenses as required. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance on motors and pumps preferred. Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or college level courses in Environmental or Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related fieldpreferred.
