COURSE DESCRIPTION
The TNCC(Instructor) course is designed to prepare nurses to become TNCC (Provider) Instructors. The TNCC(Instructor) emphasizes appropriate teaching strategies as well as correct evaluation methods.
ACCREDITATION
The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation. The TNCC (I) course has been approved for 7.5 CECH's. Participants who attend the entire course will be awarded a CECH certificate.
Within one year of completion of the instructor course, the TNCC (I) candidate must participate as an instructor in a TNCC (Provider) course. At that time, the candidate will be monitored/evaluated by a state trauma faculty member.

/ APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Course enrollment is limited to twelve (12) participants. Qualified applicants are registered nurses with an unrestricted license. Applicants must be registered nurses and have current TNCC(P) 6th Edition status.
The Emergency Nurses Associations most recent administrative procedures for the TNCC (I) requires that consideration for acceptance in the course be supported by the following documents:
  • A curriculum vitae (CV) which indicates two years experience in the nursing care of the trauma patient.
  • A letter of recommendation from a professional colleague. The letter should include professional relationship to the applicant and evaluation of the applicant’s formal and/or informal teaching experience.
  • A letter expressing your commitment and interest in teaching future TNCC courses.
  • A copy of your current TNCC (P) card.
  • Letter from Course Coordinator of TNCC(P) indicating applicant’s instructor potential.
Instructor candidates will reverify as providers at the beginning of the course. A list of minimum requirements will be included in the confirmation of registration letter.
REGISTRATION $250.00
Fee includes lunch, breaks, TNCC instructor manual, indirect fees and CECHs.
REFUNDS
*There will be a $50 Processing Fee for cancellation
after September 6, 2012, and no refunds for participants that do not show for the course.
