The 2009 Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Tandem Meetings sponsored by the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) will be held in Tampa, Florida February 11-15, 2009.
The Transplant Nursing Sessions coordinated by the ONS Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Special Interest Group (BMSCT SIG) will be held February 13-15, 2009. This will be the eleventh year the ONS BMSCT SIG has partnered with the ASBMT and CIBMTR. Last year over 500 transplant nurses attended the sessions in San Diego, CA!
Registration is on-line at: Nurses should register by October 8, 2006 to obtain the early registration rate specifically for nurses of $360. This allows nurse attendees to attend ANY of the sessions (physician, pharmacy, etc.) during the entire conference in addition to the Transplant Nursing Sessions. The nursing meeting sessions will be held in the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina directly across from the convention center (walking distance). This hotel and others are available on-line for reservations…make your plans early!
The agenda for the Transplant Nursing Sessions includes national speakers, oral podium abstracts, and roundtable discussions. Please see the latest version of the planned agenda below. You are encouraged to submit an abstract that might be considered for oral or poster presentation. There are three categories for abstract submission for the nursing meeting: Clinical and EBP; Administration, Leadership and Education; and Research. The best abstracts from each category will be invited to present the abstract at a podium session. Please go to the ASBMT website at: to submit an abstract.
