The company turned to Lane Workforce Partnership for help in finding enough qualified applicants to fill their open positions within their company. Lane Worksource was not only able to send them quality applicants, Lane Worksource were able to provide the job seekers with the opportunity to earn an NCRC to prove that they had the skills the company was looking for. By utilizing the Back to Work Oregon program Hawes Financial was able to provide the necessary training to hire local employees with the basic skills needed to perform the job and train them to be productive employees.
The Back to Work Oregon program addresses both the needs of businesses looking for skilled workers and Oregonians that have been unemployed. The program consists of two components: On-the-Job Training and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). The training component reimburses a company for the cost of training a new employee, and the NCRC provides a job seeker a national portable certificate that validates an individuals foundational workplace skills.
Through the relationship forged with Lane Worksource and Hawes Financial Group, appropriate job seekers were referred to the companies open positions and now the company employees several long term employees that participated in the Back to Work Oregon program and received their NCRC. The relationship between Lane Worksource and Hawes Financial Group has been very successful for the job seekers and the business.
