The checklist below has some questions that are useful when researching training providers. It has space to compare up to three training providers, also known as Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). At the bottom of the list, there’s space for you to put in your own questions about the things that are especially important for you.

Are there other fees for services/amenities? If yes, how much do you need to pay?
Do you have to pay for materials and books? If yes, how much do you need to pay?
What’s the last date you can drop-out and get a refund?

How many hours a week do you need to spend in class?

Are there any practical placements or work-experience elements?

What resources are available for students to use, for example library, computer lab, Wi-Fi internet?
Do they offer part-time/weekend/online study?
