TOWN BOARD MEETING

Special Meeting

December 18, 2006

PRESENT: Councilpersons: Kevin Armstrong, Cheryl Boyd, Bruce Dolph, Supervisor John Meredith, Hwy. Supt., Walt Geidel, Attorney Frank Wood, and Town Clerk Ronda Williams

ABSENT: Luis Rodriguez-Betancourt

The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.

Supervisor Meredith informed the Board that the low bidder for the destruction and removal of vegetative debris at the Delaware County Fair Grounds withdrew his bid due to the inability to obtain equipment within the time frame required. Supervisor Meredith suggested going with Scott Lawn Yard who was the second low bidder at $79,350.00.

RESOLUTION# 79 RESCIND RESOLUTION FOR BID AWARD

A motion was made by Councilman Dolph, seconded by Armstrong to rescind resolution #76 of 2006 and award the bid for the Destruction and Removal of Vegetative Debris at the Delaware County Fair Grounds for $79,350.00 and to extend the penalty period until January 8, 2007. Vote 4 ayes, Armstrong, Boyd, Dolph, and Supervisor Meredith. 0 nays. Motion carried.

The Board reviewed the bid proposals for the removal of the railroad embankment on County Route 23.

RESOLUTION #80 AWARD OF REMOVAL OF RAILROAD EMBANKMENT

A motion was made by Councilman Armstrong, seconded by Boyd to award the bid for the Removal of the Railroad Embankment on County Route 23 to RMS Gravel, Inc. who was the responsible low bidder at $311,305.00. Vote 4 ayes, Armstrong, Boyd, Dolph, and Supervisor Meredith. 0 nays. Motion carried.

SUPERINTENDENT OF HWY. REPORT:

Superintendent Geidel has asked for a copy of the awarded bid for FEMA.

SUPERVISOR’S REPORT:

Supervisor Meredith reported that there was a clerical error in the budget of $2,500.00 and the correction has been made.

APPROVAL OF BILLS:

A motion was made by Councilman Dolph, seconded by Boyd to approve the vouchers for payment as presented. All in favor, motion carried.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Superintendent Geidel spoke about the vouchers that are outstanding and project worksheets that have not been processed yet from FEMA.

The Board has set a date for the organizational meeting on January 9, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

Geidel made mention of the CWC grant that is available to municipalities.

Supervisor Meredith reported that the website has been updated.

With no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
