TOURNAMENT CHECK LIST
FOR THE DIC AND TD
BEFORE ARRIVAL
_Read Arrangement Form CAREFULLY – know everything agreed to.
_Plug in radios to charge the night before the tournament. Be sure radios are turned off before putting them in the charger.
_Prepare announcements given at cart staging area before the shotgun.
_Charge the camera.
AFTER ARRIVAL (ALL DAYS)
_Be sure to monitor the tournament check list and be sure everyone working the tournament is taking responsibility for the items on the list.
_Check with food & beverage about the time for water to be placed on carts.
_Check with food & beverage about meal service (time and content).
_Check with 18-hole women’s group about spotters and closest-to-the-hole monitors (closest-to-the-hole is day one only).
_Do you need a marker for any group? If so check with the 18-hole women’s group to be sure someone is available.
ANNOUCEMENTS BEFORE SHOTGUN (ALL DAYS)
_Talk to the Lead Rules Official about any changes to the course conditions. Ask if she would like to make those announcements.
_Are there special cart path requirements?
_Remind players to wait until start time to tee off.

AFTER TEE TIME (ALL DAYS)
_Monitor pace of play to establish meal service time (does it need to change?)
_Prepare remarks for firstday dinner (closest to hole award) with thank-yous or awards luncheon with thank-yous. Introduce current and past WGANC Directors and Presidents ONLY (no rules officials playing or course raters). Assign a director to take photographs of closest-to-hole winner on the first day and 1st place winners on thelast day.
_Prepare remarks for next day staging area.
_Check to be sure that runners will be available when needed (as competitors are close to finishing).
_Write thank-you cards.
_Confirm the name of the President of the Board of Directors for the club for sending the official thank-you from the WGANC President.
_Discuss with pro shop if it is necessary to pick up all tee markers after each day.
_When giving out awards, start with the lowest flight, lowest winning net score and read up by flight.
_Ask overall champion if she would like to say a few words, at championship tournaments only.
_If a flip/flop, save documents for the three-year binder (i.e., NTC, hole placement sheets, tee assignment sheets [alpha and tee #] USGA Rating sheet, awards receipts, etc.)see 3 year Binder Table of Contents in the Samples Section.
EXCHANGE AFTER FIRST DAY (flip-flop only)
If electronic exchange:
Have a Rules Official, or former Director playing in the tournament take these items to the other course.

If meeting to exchange:

_Printer with extension cord and surge protector, if printers not same model
